Quality Assurance Specialist - Fintech at Terawork

Job Responsibilities:

• Carryout User Interface and functional testing
• Perform API testing
• Ability to work in an agile environment
• Design test plans, scenarios, or procedures.
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
• Identify program deviance from standards and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.
• Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 4-5 years of proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in a software development environment
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with manual and automated testing techniques.
• Knowledge of programming languages- JavaScript, HTML and Python.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset.
• Ability to work with strict deadline
• Pays attention to details
• UI automation is an added advantage
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to quality assurance is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB) are desirable.
