    Sales Associate

    Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

    Qualifications: HND/BSC in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, International Relations, or Project Management is preferred.

    Salary: N95,000

    Experience: 2- 3 years proven experience as a Sales Associate

    We are currently looking to hire a qualified Sales Associate for our client, an interior decoration company located in Victoria Island, Lagos.

    Job Description

    • Confirm that the POS is charged and ready for store opening (i.e. to allow you to log in, clock in & set up your drawers).
    • Ensure the office phone is switched on at the beginning of the day and off at the close of business.
    • Ensure the retail store is clean, smells nice and the AC is switched on.
    • Ensure items are appropriately positioned to allow shoppers to see the labels.
    • Attach price tags to items on the shop floor and double-check pricing and tags for accuracy.
    • Double-check and confirm that all discount pricing matches the information in the POS system.

    • Receive customers into the store in a friendly yet polite and professional tone.
    • Record sales by creating and updating customer profile records in the POS terminal.
    • Process cash and card payments, watching for shoplifters and fraudulent shoppers.
    • Categorize sales (in-store or online) and take notes of deliveries made to customers.
    • Prepare end-of-day reports.
    • Check cash drops and ensure accuracy.
    • Balance cash registers with receipts.
    • Stay up to date with special promotions and communicate with customers.
    • Follow up with customers for repeat purchases and referrals

    Requirements

    • Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Office.
    • Standard knowledge of ERPs.
    • High-level emotional intelligence
    • Ability to influence and negotiate with others
    • A strong ability to listen with rapt attention for needs identification.
    • Ability to own your tasks and take responsibility for your outcomes.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills,
    • Proactivity, organization, and a strong work ethic.
