Supply Chain Lead at LIPTON Teas and Infusions

Your Role:

The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain in Nigeria. Broad areas of responsibility include:

• Oversight and relationship management of 3rd Party Manufacturers, including costs, efficiencies, quality, safety and service levels.
• Product logistics from factory to warehouse and on to Distributors.
• Product warehousing and dispatch.
• Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) leadership, including demand, supply and production planning.

Key Tasks:

• Partner the Africa and Nigeria business unit leadership teams with supply chain expertise to deliver on the markets’ business goals.
• Deliver targeted customer service at optimal total supply chain cost and working capital levels.
• Support the market S&OP process through excellence in demand planning and resolving demand-supply imbalances.
• Ensure a safety culture for all supply chain people.
• Drive the right level of product quality to win in the marketplace.
• Employ an appropriate management style to deliver in a small, agile business by setting tough goals and involving everyone across the supply chain.
• Support the personal development of the market supply chain team.
• Oversee the local implementation of Lipton’s global supply chain strategy into the markets.

Stakeholder Management and Key Interfaces:

• This role reports to the MU Supply Chain Lead for the AFRICA cluster.
• Business partnering the Africa and Nigeria Leadership teams.
• Member of the extended AMET MU SCLT.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or similar relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years prior experience in a similar role in a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
• FMCG background preferred.
• Demonstrable, executive ability in demand and production planning.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• A proven track record in leadership and delivering results.
• Project management skills
• Change management skills.
