    Trainee Associate

    Our Trainee Associate Program at CHECOD offers recent graduates professional experience in health economics and financing, priority setting, health policy and planning, and other areas of CHECOD’s core competencies. This career development program is for 12 months and is an entry-point for a career at CHECOD.

    The Program has four main components

    • Understanding core concepts in health economics and financing, policy and planning through courses and readings. 
    • Understanding and applying methods for estimating health expenditure, costing healthcare services, and healthcare planning. 
    • Preparing activity or technical reports (or publications) on projects that are based on concepts and methods above. 
    • Learning transferrable skills that help you become more productive at work. 

    Three to Four trainee positions are available.

    Selection criteria

    This is an entry-level role so previous work experience is not required. However, all applicants must have a bachelor’s in a relevant area, completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), have strong command of English language, and are able to learn new concepts and find data or information from web resources. We may favour applicants who graduated with a first class, distinction, or other equivalent grades at undergraduate or postgraduate level. We will also favour applicants with commitment to continuous learning and gaining skills as demonstrated
