    Accountant

    Job Description

    We are looking to hire an experienced accountant who will manage all financial transactions, stock, and inventory. As the accountant your responsibilities will include, auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, calculating/filing tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you must be meticulous, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping, and have a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Preparing accounts and tax returns
    • Monitoring spending and budgets
    • Stock and inventory management 
    • Auditing and analyzing financial performance
    • Financial forecasting and risk analysis
    • Advising on how to reduce costs and increase profits
    • Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports
    • Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations
    • Keeping account books and systems up to date
    • Prepare and present financial reports

    Requirements:

    • Work experience as an Accountant
    • Must have experience in the hospitality industry
    • Possess knowledge of point-of-sale software
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
    • Advanced MS Excel skills and hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, Zero, Zoho, et cetera
    • Keen understanding of inventory and stock models
    • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree

    Retail Supervisor

    Job Description

    We are looking to hire an experienced and innovative Retail supervisor for a supermarket. The core responsibility of the successful candidate will be to oversee the smooth running of all retail operations. Our ideal candidate will be someone with good communication skills with the ability to lead a team and who has experience working in retail services. To be successful in this role, you must have a fine blend of people and business management skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage retail staff, including cashiers and people working on the floor
    • Understand and oversee financial objectives - budgeting & forecasts; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
    • Formulate pricing policies & ensure pricing is correct
    • Lead promotional initiatives and activities
    • Work on store displays and ensure merchandise is clean and ready to be displayed
    • Attend trade shows and carry out market surveys to identify new products and services
    • Coach, counsel, recruit, train, and discipline employees
    • Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers in order to constantly improve general customer experience
    • Ensure vendors are onboarded in line with the approved onboarding process
    • Carry out inventory and ensure items are in stock
    • Keep up with fluctuating supply and demand
    • Utilize information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and planning
    • Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
    • Maintain store's cleanliness and health and safety measures.
    • Organize and distribute staff schedules.
    • Preside over staff meetings
    • Help retail sales staff achieve sales targets
    • Manage different departments within the store
    • Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
    • Prepare activity/sales reports and share with the stakeholders periodically

    Requirements

    • Proven work experience as a supervisor or manager in a supermarket
    • Must be computer literate and have an understanding of retail pos software/systems
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work with no supervision
    • Good attention to details
    • Proven knowledge about retail services
    • Must live within Lagos Island, Lekki axis preferably

    Community Manager

    Job Description:

    We are looking to hire a female community manager who will make customers feel welcome and at ease. As the community manager, you are responsible for managing, improving, and leveraging relationships within the coworking space. You will be in charge of all operational functions e.g. facility management - ensuring the coworking space is clean, inventory is updated, and vendors deliver without disruption. Member Management - develop a system to manage space, member invoices, and client issues. Marketing – Manage marketing campaigns and engagement through email and phone. Business Development and Sales – Conduct onsite tours, CRM, follow up with leads, and sign members up. Provide administrative support across the organization, and manage the entire community. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Understand & amplify the total customer experience
    • Welcome members and guests on arrival
    • Provide information and support as required by members and guests via email, telephone, or in-person
    • Create and implement processes
    • Coordinate other support personnel, handle all vendor negotiations, and update vendor logbooks
    • Ensure all utility and governance-related bills are treated when due
    • Ensure office supplies are always available and keep an accurate inventory of stock and reorders
    • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
    • Arrange travel and logistics when necessary
    • Ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out when due
    • Update calendars and schedule meetings
    • Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, printing, and scanning
    • Send out invoices and receipts when due
    • Update client database frequently
    • Manage social media pages as required
    • Identify community initiatives that will keep the community engaged. 

    Requirements:

    • Must have a university degree
    • Must be Female
    • Must live within Lagos Island
    • Must be process-oriented
    • Experience with increasing responsibility in either a sales or customer service role
    • Demonstrated project management skills
    • Experience managing corporate social media campaigns
    • Passion for the community
    • Interest in working independently with only occasional interactions with the owners
    • Fluent in English 

     

    Location: Victoria Island, Lagos 

    Salary: N100,000 - N130,000
