    Accountant (Account Receivables and Credit Control)

    Job Summary

    The Accounts Receivable and Credit Control Officer will be responsible for managing both accounts receivable and credit control functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle financial transactions accurately and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers.
    • Receive and process various forms of payment, ensuring AR statements' accuracy and updating financial systems.
    • Regularly reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
    • Collate and enter customer invoices and payments for AR transactions.
    • Assess customer creditworthiness by analyzing credit reports, financial statements, and payment histories.
    • Actively collect outstanding debts from customers, including negotiation and escalation.
    • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding outstanding debts and payment-related matters.
    • Process and accurately allocate incoming payments, updating customer records.
    • Prepare statements and reports on outstanding debts, collection progress, credit risk, and account reconciliation, while maintaining proper documentation.
    • Adhere to financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards in accounts receivable and credit control activities.
    • Any other duties as directed in line with the finance and accounting functions.

    Qualifications

    • BSc/HND in Accounting/Finance or Related Field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Credit Control.
    • Possession of ACA certification is an added advantage.

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a  Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards, and providing strategic financial advice to the management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.

    We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, data analysis, and bank reconciliation. Your responsibilities will include monthly financial reporting, updating reports, data entry, business data analytics, bank reconciliation statement preparation, and other finance and accounting duties as assigned. You will be expected to maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
    • Update monthly reports and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
    • Perform data entry and posting of daily activities, maintaining accuracy and completeness.

    • Prepare bank reconciliation statements, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information and support decision-making.
    • Assist with ad hoc financial projects and provide support as directed.
    • Adhere to established financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
    • Maintain confidentiality and security of financial data and records.
    • Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices in accounting and finance.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (BSc/HND) in Accounting/Finance or related field.
    • 3 - 4 years as a Senior Accountant or similar role
    • ACA certification is an added advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel.
    • Solid understanding of Nigerian accounting standards and tax regulations.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
    • Prior experience in managing and developing a team is an advantage.
