    Safety Officer - Electrical Construction Sites

    Overview

    • The Safety Officer for Electrical Construction Sites is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment on electrical construction sites by implementing and overseeing safety procedures and protocols. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical construction practices, regulatory standards, and safety management. The Safety Officer will work closely with site personnel to promote a culture of safety and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Safety Planning and Implementation:

    • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
    • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.

    Compliance and Regulation:

    • Ensure all safety procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards and electrical codes.
    • Keep up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and incorporate them into site practices.

    Training and Education:

    • Provide safety training and orientation for new and existing employees on electrical safety practices and emergency procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and drills to reinforce safety protocols and address any concerns.

    Incident Management:

    • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions.

    Site Inspections:

    • Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify any potential hazards.
    • Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment are properly used and maintained.
    • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of safety inspections, training records, incident reports, and compliance checks.
    • Prepare and submit regular safety reports to the Safety Manager or Project Manager.

    Collaboration:

    • Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and construction workers to promote safety awareness and ensure safety protocols are followed.
    • Collaborate with external agencies and inspectors as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field preferred.
    • Qualification: b.sc/ hnd with 3-5 years experience and NEBOSH IGC/HSE LEVEL 3, FIRST AID CERTIFIED, CPR CERTIFIED, FIRE SAFETY CERTIFIED..
    • Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical construction practices, safety regulations, and risk management principles.
    • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to conduct training and present safety information effectively.

    Other Requirements:

    • Thorough knowledge of all engineering calculations in detail.
    • Experience of EPC Project - Transmission Line and Substation.
    • Knowledge of Autocad, STADD.Pro and other relevant software, MS Office.
    • Knowledge of Project Design Time Scheduling.
    • Good command over oral and written communications.

    • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Transmission Line Surveyor to join our team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive surveys of transmission lines and related infrastructures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and optimize network performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct field surveys to assess the physical condition and alignment of transmission lines, poles, towers, and associated infrastructure.
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret geographical and topographical data using specialized surveying equipment and software.
    • Develop and maintain accurate maps, sketches, and reports documenting survey results and findings.
    • Provide technical support for the design and planning of transmission line projects.
    • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify optimal routing and address any potential conflicts or issues.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards, throughout the surveying process.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and external partners to facilitate project goals and timelines.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a surveyor, specifically in utility transmission line surveying preferred.
    • Proficiency in using surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS, and GIS software.
    • Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, land development principles, and regulations.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor as necessary.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Surveyor license) are a plus.

    Site Supervisor (Electrical/ Civil)

    • Knowledge of Project Design Time Scheduling.
    • Good command over oral and written communications.
