    Director of Programmes

    REF: PD2024  

    Responsibilities:

    • The purpose of this position is to organize and coordinate the initiation, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of PPFN Projects and to strengthen the capacity of the regions and other partner NGOs to improve their effectiveness in responding to local community sexual and reproductive health needs.

    Requirements:

    • Master level degree in public health, social sciences or equivalent
    • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience including five years’ managerial position in an NGO (preferably in SRH)
    • Excellent contextual, analytical, writing and oral communication skills
    • Team building and leadership skills, qualities/experience
    • Familiarity with key national and international implementing, support and donor organizations in SRH
    • Strong computer literacy skills including presentations
    • Sensitive and caring but firm and decisive in managing both junior and senior-level staff

    Director – Advocacy, Business Development and External Relations

    Manager, Finance

    Responsibilities:

    • The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and coordination for the PPFN and its regional offices with regards to all financial matters especially financial accounting and reporting.

    Requirements:

    • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting.
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
    • Seven (7) years’ work experience especially in an NGO with not less than 3 years in managerial position.
    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Strong knowledge of: general ledger, banking, job cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and nonprofit taxes and registrations.
    • Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel and Peachtree accounting packages.
    • Proven sound numeric ability, analytical mind and nose for details.
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Positive towards issues of development in general and reproductive health in particular
    • Working experience in NGO especially those involved in SRH
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Master Degree is also desirable and of great advantage.

    Gender / Youth Focal Officer

    REF: GYFO2024    

    Responsibilities:

    • The purpose of this position is to support the provision of access to adolescent-friendly sexual and reproductive health information and services including age-appropriate comprehensive sexuality and gender-equality education through adolescent-focused projects.
    • The officer will also be responsible for gender mainstreaming and proactive technical support to the organization.
    • S/he will work with all departments and projects to ensure that gender equity principles are incorporated into all policies and programme activities

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Gender studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public health or other related disciplines.
    • Master Degree is also desirable and of great advantage.
    • Three years’ relevant work experience including two years in NGO (preferably in Reproductive Health (RH).
    • In depth knowledge of ASRH and gender in reproductive health setting
    • Excellent contextual, analytical, writing and oral communication skills.
    • Good team playing qualities/experience.
    • Familiarity with key national and international implementing support and donor organizations in RH.
    • Computer literacy skills.
    • Prior training in adolescent and youth development and participation, sexual reproductive health and rights, and gender and their application in development settings will be an advantage.

    Communication and Marketing Officer

    Responsibilities:

    • To develop and implement communication and marketing strategies for Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN), in order to raise the national and international profile of PPFN amongst a wide range of stakeholders.
    • To lead the initiative of building PPFN’s identity, public image, and brand, ensuring consistency in all aspects of PPFN’s external communications.

    Programme Officer (Service Delivery)

    Responsibilities:

    • The purpose of this position is to coordinate the efforts of the service delivery unit with other departments in the region to expand access to a broad range of SRH/FP information and services.

    Requirements:

    • B. Sc in Public Health with basic training in midwifery or equivalent.
    • Minimum of five years’ relevant work experience including not less than three years in NGO (preferably in FP & SRH&R).
    • Excellent contextual, analytical, writing and oral communication skills.
    • Team leadership and team playing qualities/experience
    • Familiarity with key national and international implementing, support and donor organizations in SRH
    • Computer literacy skills such as Microsoft Packages (excel, word, access), SPSS, Epi-info, etc.
    • Strong knowledge of NGO operations particularly those in reproductive health including family planning, maternal and child health, sexual health and women development, program development and management.
    • Familiarity with varied socio-cultural issues as they relate to SRH in the country and sensitive to cross-cultural issues and concerns.
    • Membership of relevant professional associations.

    Clinic Assistant (NHQ)

    Responsibilities:

    • The purpose of this position is to assist the clinic officer to organize and deliver integrated reproductive health and family planning services in a friendly environment at both clinic and outreach levels

    Requirements:

    • Must be a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW), Registered with the Board of Community Health workers’ practitioner.
    • Three (3) years relevant work experience in SRH/FP provision and at least not less than one year as trained clinical service provider.
    • Excellent contextual, analytical, writing and oral communication skills
    • Team leadership and literacy skills
    • Sensitive and caring but firm in dealing with clients
