    Electrical Switchyard Operator / Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    • The Electrical Switchyard Operator/Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical switchyard equipment, ensuring reliable power transmission and distribution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate and monitor switchyard equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, motors and relays.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, inspecting, and testing equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and repair faults in switchyard equipment, using technical manuals and diagrams.
    • Collaborate with other teams to coordinate maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Maintain accurate records of switchyard operations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
    • Assist in training new operators and sharing knowledge to improve team performance.

    Requirements

    • 2 - 5 years of experience in electrical switchyard operations or maintenance.

    Certifications / Licenses:
