    Food Safety and Quality Control Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate daily monitoring and evaluation of safety principles and staff compliance,
    • Monitor and enforce food safety regulations,
    • Ensure all the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points are adequately identified, monitored, and controlled,
    • Enforce food safety program and procedures, GMP policy and personal hygiene policies.
    • Perform and record Food Safety inspection and report any irregularities and take proper corrective action.
    • Verify and communicate to appropriate departments any findings as it relates to food safety issues.
    • Report and assist with correcting any unsanitary conditions in food preparation and food storage/receiving area.
    • Report any required maintenance/replacement of food preparation equipment, surfaces, and tools.
    • Assist to maintain, and update all records, manuals, training procedures, product specification documents.
    • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual basis,
    • Deliver toolbox talks,
    • Respond efficiently and accurately to client inquiries and queries on safety processes,
    • Train new and current employees on proper safety practices,
    • Design and implement policies and protocols that will maintain excellent safety standards.

    Requirements and skills

    • Ability to communicate well professionally and in English is a must,
    • A degree holder in food science, food technology, microbiology, or a related field.
    • Proven work experience as a Food Safety Officer, Quality Control Officer, or similar role,
    • Food Safety Certification e.g. HAACP, ISO 22000, CIEH, NEBOSH, IOSH, and other relevant certifications
    • Quality Control, GMP, HSE, FSSC, Quality Management System, food safety, reporting, auditing, process improvement,
    • Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff,
    • Strong leadership, communication, motivational, organisational, and interpersonal skills,
    • Ability to multi-task, solve problems, and make quick and effective decisions,
    • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and/or Google Workspace.

    Senior Accountant

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with management to set financial goals.
    • Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Manage payroll processes and related financial activities.
    • Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
    • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the equine industry or a similar field.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to work independently and lead a team.
    • CPA certification or equivalent (preferred but not required).
