    Microbiology and Quality Technician

    MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To ensure the production of beverages in strict compliance with quality and food safety standards.
    • Ensure that no micro-failure is present in weekly warehouse samples and monthly QM results.
    • Ensure that CIP & COP matrix and additional cleaning procedures are followed accordingly and closed/follow up with respect to microbiology/food safety actions.
    • Ensure collection, processing, and microbiological analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.
    • Prepare the laboratory reagents, culture media, and necessary microbiological samples and monitor stock levels of microbiology materials.
    • To monitor the performance and ensure the operational validation of ASEBI at required frequencies and corrective action taken if any abnormalities.
    • Prompt submission of microbiology trend analysis report per line per equipment.
    • To ensure good housekeeping status of all the equipment and environment associated with the lab, filling, and bottling halls.

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

    • B.Sc./HND in Microbiology is compulsory.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience.

    QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Ensure that all beverage tests:  brix, carbonation, taste, appearance, date code, crown crimp, torque, residual ozone, m- alkalinity, total chlorine, residual chlorine, turbidity, hardness, total dissolved solids, drop test, fill height, and net content are correctly performed and at the right frequency as stated in the sop/work aid/work instruction and meet TCCC requirements.
    • Ensure that all bottling equipment is inspected before and during bottling operations and management is informed of any malfunction in light of the negative impact on product quality.
    • Ensure that the appropriate corrective actions are taken in cases where out-of-specification results are obtained.
    • To monitor the performance and ensure the operational validation of ASEBI at required frequencies and corrective action taken if any abnormalities.
    • Monitor all identified CCPS and OPRPS in the work area and alert the immediate supervisor when critical limits are exceeded.
    • Ensure compliance to good manufacturing practices, food safety practices, good environmental, occupational health, and safety practices in all line activities, achieve water use ratio, solid waste ratio, energy use ratio, solid waste recycling targets, and zero lost time work-related injuries.
    • Ensure that all laboratory test reagents are available, properly labeled, and fit for use.

    EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE

    • Minimum of HND or BSc in applied or any related sciences.
    • At least 2 years experience within a food/ drinks production environment. 
    • Technical dexterity.
    • Computer literacy.

    Line Technician & Production Operator

    DO YOU HAVE THESE SKILLS?

    • Prior high-speed production machine maintenance or operating experience, especially on Bottling machines will be an advantage.
    • Computer Literate.
    • Ability to demonstrate basic Technical, troubleshooting, and Problem-solving skills.
    • Sound understanding of bottling line machine/tool technology and operation.
    • Sound understanding and appreciation of maintenance and process operations.

    PRODUCTION OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Operate and Maintain Manufacturing Equipment and Utilities.
    • Deploy Engineering Technical Skills to Ensure Equipment Availability at all times and Operate at OEM's Rated capacity.
    • Deliver output associated with a production line for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Executes machine start-up, continuous operation, shut down, and changeover following standard operating procedure safely to avoid risks of damage or waste.
    • Controls relevant standard process parameters through reference tables.
    • Reads and interprets values on screens, monitors, and other relevant measuring instruments/devices.
    • Follows standard cleaning and sanitizing procedures - Operating with the proper tools usage and methodologies.
    • Ensure that shift reports for your areas of responsibility are prepared on time and according to agreed requirements.

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

    • HND/BSc Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in high-speed production equipment.

    LINE TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Conduct preventive & repair maintenance and other recommended maintenance programs in line with the checklists and schedules and as required to keep the equipment in good working condition that will ensure food safety.
    • Monitor equipment as per checklist on all stipulated machines, document findings & recommend actions to be taken through the maintenance report form.
    • Lubricate the machinery as specified in the lubrication chart and update lubrication documentation.

    • Ensure all safety sensors, reflectors & safety controls are in good working condition.

    • Min. 2 years experience in a technical position most appropriate with the shop floor role.
    • Experience in the execution of maintenance tasks.
    • Reliable exhibition of Engineering skills.
