    Finance Officer

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • S/he will assist with the processing of financial transactions.
    • S/he will assist in ensuring that financial transactions and reconciliations are processed in line with relevant policies and procedures.
    • S/he will assist in financial reports and ensure that they are timely provided according to financial guidelines.
    • S/he will assist in maintaining financial records and monitoring systems to record and reconcile expenditures, balances, payments, statements, and other data for day-to-day transactions and reports.
    • S/he will assist in selecting and enter data from a wide variety of documents, verifying accuracy by checking sources, making necessary calculations, and assuring the inclusion of all relevant data.
    • S/he will assist in advising staff members on all aspects of travel claims and other financial matters, calculate and pay after authorization of due for claims and services.
    • S/he will assist in supporting program activities
    • S/he will assist in procurement activities such as vendor prequalification, selection processes and quotation.
    • S/he will assist in signing and collection of program attendance sheets.
    • Perform other related duties as required as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting.
    • Candidates must have a second-class upper (2.1) or first-class or upper credit or distinction
    • Candidates with ICAN or ACCA qualification or its equivalent is preferred for this position.
    • Additional professional certifications or postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in finance-related roles.
    • Proficient in the use of QuickBooks accounting software.
    • Ability to develop financial budgets for donors.
    • Strong computer skills.

    Internal Audit Officer

    Key Duties and Responsibilities of Internal Audit Officer

    • S/he will assist in contributing to the improvement of WEWE control processes, risk management, and governance
    • S/he will assist in carrying out pre- and post-review of all financial expenditures
    • S/he will assist in reviewing CBO’s monthly certified expenditure reports
    • S/he will assist in carrying out internal control assessment on CBOs
    • S/he will assist in performing monthly reviews and evaluation of financial records/reports and bank reconciliation statements
    • S/he will assist in ensuring WEWE and donor’s assets are safeguarded
    • S/he will assist in ensuring that inventory record is up-to-date, complete, and accurate
    • S/he will assist the organization in carrying out risk identification and timely reporting to the appropriate authority with improvement recommendations
    • S/he will assist in the timely investigation of all cases of fraudulent practices and missing assets
    • S/he will assist in preparing reports that reflect the audit’s results and document reviewed
    • S/he will assist in documenting the process and preparing the audit findings memorandum
    • S/he will assist in conducting follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions
    • S/he will assist in periodically carrying out Fraud Awareness and Preventing training for staff

     Qualification Requirements:

    • Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting
    • Candidates must have a second-class upper (2.1) or first-class or upper credit or distinction
    • Must be a full member of ICAN or equivalent
    • Other related professional courses will be an added advantage

    Experience Requirements:

    • At least 2 – 4 years experience in an audit firm managing similar responsibilities
    • Must have experience in participating in statutory or audits of local NGOs
    • Must be very strong in report writing – i.e., evidence that you have led audit assignments and have been the ones writing the final audit report for their audit firm.
    • Must have experience writing quarterly audit reports to the board
    • Be proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks accounting software.
    • Thorough understanding of program management, donor reporting requirements, and managing donor relations.
    • Knowledge of carrying out audits of US CDC funding or USAID funding is an added advantage

    Program Officer

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • S/he will assist in the documentation and sharing learning and success stories from the project implementation
    • S/he will assist in the overall oversight and administrative management of the project
    • S/he will assist in overseeing project planning, provide technical direction and support, and ensure implementation, with a focus on results, and financial accountability for all project activities
    • S/he assist in ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all documentation of activities on the project
    • S/he will assist in ensuring timely report of all program activities
    • S/he will assist in supporting the preparation for, and implementation of activities, including communicating with CBOs and stakeholders
    • S/he will assist in the development of project plans and determine strategies needed to meet the requirements
    • S/he will assist in the preparation and planning of activities and meetings/trainings
    • S/he will assist in the reviewing and approval of CBO’s reports and requests
    • S/he will assist in attending/monitoring CBO’s activities and provide constructive feedback where necessary
    • S/he will assist in maintaining an updated referral database and referral directory for all service areas
    • S/he will assist in supporting the strengthening of CBOs capacity to implement result-based interventions
    • S/he will carry out any other responsibilities assigned relevant to the position

     Qualification Requirements

    • A graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or a Higher National Diploma in any social science discipline or its equivalent
    • Candidates must have a second-class upper (2.1) or first-class or upper credit or distinction
    • Other related professional courses will be an added advantage

     Experience Requirements

    • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of relevant publishing software such as but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
    • Extremely strong in written and oral English language with research writing skills.
    • Superior oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on creative approaches, attention to detail, and efficient delivery methods
    • Must be very strong in report writing
    • Minimum of 3 to 4 years experience in a similar role
    • Thorough understanding of program management, donor reporting requirements, and managing donor relations

    Operations Officer

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • S/he will assist in overseeing operations activity, including but not limited to; logistics, procurement, and inventory management
    • S/he will assist in monitoring on-site projects and field operations
    • S/he will assist in ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way in Abuja and state offices
    • S/he will assist in improving operational management systems, processes, and best practices
    • S/he will assist in overseeing that the health and safety regulations of staff are followed
    • S/he will assist in overseeing that the organization’s processes remain legally compliant

    • S/he will assist in following up with insurance premium payment and ensure that insurance companies are paid as when due
    • S/he will assist in ensuring that store processes are strictly adhered to
    • S/he will facilitate the use of all store documents e.g. use of stock card, Store request form, etc
    • S/he will ensure that complete records of all stock items concerning daily usage and replenishment are kept

    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Operations Management, Business Administration, or any social science-related field
    • Candidates must have a second-class upper (2.1) or first-class or upper credit or distinction
    • Other related professional courses will be an added advantage

    Experience Requirements

    • Must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years post-NYSC experience in a reputable Organization with proven success in an operations management role
    • Working knowledge of Management Software programs, including NetSuite, and QuickBooks, and strong IT skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Outstanding organizational skills
    • Experience managing operations for USG-funded programs
    • Superior oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on creative approaches, and attention to detail.

    Human Resource Officer

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • S/he will assist in managing the Human Resource Portfolio
    • S/he will assist in ensuring that qualified and suitable staff, Fixed-term, Trainees, Volunteers, Consultants, and Temporary hires are recruited
    • S/he will assist in facilitating the orientation of new hires
    • S/he will assist in ensuring that leavers exit through the appropriate exiting procedure
    • S/he will assist in updating staff contact information and leave request forms
    • S/he will assist in the reviewing of the staff timesheet monthly
    • S/he will assist in the preparation of contracts for newly hired employees and contract amendments for existing staff

     Qualifications:

    • Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other social science-related field
    • Candidates must have a second-class upper (2.1) or first-class or upper credit or distinction
    • Candidates with Lawyer qualifications will be an added advantage
    • Candidates with Accounting qualifications will be an added advantage
    • Other related professional courses will be an added advantage

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 to 4 years relevant experience
    • Candidates with legal experience will be an added advantage
    • Candidates with accounting experience will be an added advantage
    • Fluent in English Language (Oral and Written)
    • Have a high degree of accountability and integrity
    • Ability to effectively manage a variety of internal and external relationships, including relationships with employees, donors, and partners
