    Head of Retail

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Retail to lead our retail banking division. The ideal candidate will drive strategic initiatives, develop innovative retail banking products, and oversee the day-to-day operations to expand our reach and impact within the microfinance sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute retail banking strategies aligned with the bank's objectives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
    • Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of innovative retail products and services catering to the diverse financial needs of our target market.
    • Manage and mentor a team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Oversee branch network expansion, ensuring effective management and optimal performance of retail outlets.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to drive informed decision-making and enhance service delivery.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
    • Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in retail banking
    • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful retail banking strategies, driving revenue growth, and achieving business targets.
    • Strong understanding of microfinance operations, market dynamics, and regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.

    Internal Control / Compliance Officer

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking an experienced Internal Control and Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices within our microfinance bank.
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Bank One and microfinance banking operations, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance mechanisms.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the bank's operations, processes, and systems, identifying areas of non-compliance or potential risks.
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, including Bank One requirements and microfinance banking regulations.
    • Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance on compliance-related matters and facilitate training programs to promote awareness of compliance protocols.
    • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, developing corrective action plans and providing recommendations to mitigate risks.
    • Prepare and present reports to management outlining findings, recommendations, and areas for improvement related to internal control and compliance.
    • Stay updated on changes in regulations, advising the management team on necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 4-5 years of experience in internal control, compliance, or audit roles within the banking sector, with a focus on Bank One and microfinance banking operations.
    • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Bank One standards, microfinance banking laws, and compliance frameworks.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and address compliance issues effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
