    Head, Business Development

    Description

    On behalf of our client, a leading energy conglomerate, we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Head of Business Development to join the team. As the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic growth initiatives for the company. This role requires a deep understanding of the power and energy sector, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of successful business development. You will drive the company's expansion strategy, forge strategic partnerships, and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate the development of short-and long-term marketing strategies to sell the company products and optimize plant capacity
    • Coordinate the development of marketing programmes and campaigns for each company’s products and services.
    • Coordinate the identification and assessment of the buyers to achieve and exceed sales revenue targets.
    • Oversee the sourcing and collation of prospective buyers to continually identify business opportunities and develop ways to ensure revenue growth within existing/defined markets.

    Requirements

    • First Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or any other related discipline
    • Relevant post-graduate degree/ professional qualification e.g. MBA is an added advantage
    • Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience with at least 3 years in management capacity especially in a power and renewable energy sector
    • Good understanding of the Power Sector primarily across the Power Sector Value Chain
    • Familiar with regulatory bodies like the Rural Electrification Agency, Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission, Nigeria Electricity Management Services Agency, Standard Organization of Nigeria, and other related bodies
    • Capable of handling multiple proposals with varied complexities, at a time
    • Deep understanding of the global and local Power industry including production cycle, market structure, key players, business opportunities, market trends/development, issues/challenges, etc.
    • Knowledge of market/industry analysis, practices, techniques/methodologies, and tools

    Technical Assistant

    Description

    On behalf of our client, a leading energy conglomerate, we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Technical Assistant to join the team. As the Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical and administrative support to the Group MD in driving the company's strategic direction.     Responsibilities:

    • Develop, monitor, and review project scope that the CEO is responsible for.
    • Develop the scope of work for each of the projects to be executed and liaise with the Engineering team to come up with other supporting documentation before implementation.
    • Identify gaps in the organization's rollout and implementation of key projects.
    • Undertake tasks that support the ongoing implementation of Governance policies and procedures applicable to any ongoing projects.
    • Review tender documents and the scope of work, check the feasibility for qualification and financial criteria, and prepare presentations, risk matrix, and information to top management to get approval for bidding.
    • Coordinate Resource planning for project implementation.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of B.Sc or HND in Engineering (i.e. Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical or similar technical degree)
    • 5+ years of experience as a Technical/ Project Adviser preferred in the power and energy space.
    • Experience in project budget, schedule, engineering performance, construction performance, commissioning performance, quality performance and safety performance required.
    • At least 5 years of engineering management of project teams preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience in a focused work environment required.
    • Willingness to work and succeed in a culture of respect, communication, and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
    • Engineering management, construction management, project cost controls, projects scheduling and project management skills.
    • Strong contract administration and construction risk management skills

    On behalf of our client, a leading renewable energy company is seeking to expand its operations, hence we are seeking to recruit a highly dedicated and experienced Head of Sales & Marketing to join the team. As the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for driving the development of markets and will also play an important role in expanding renewable products into new geographic markets.     Project Manager

    Description

    On behalf of our client, a newly established Non-Governmental Organization that focuses on driving the corporate social responsibility of its holding company.     Resource Mobilization and Partnership Building:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders and strategic partners to leverage expertise, networks, and resources to support women entrepreneurs effectively.
    • Facilitate capacity-building workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing forums to equip Formal & Informal sector women entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to succeed in business.

    Event Planning and Management:

    • Lead the planning and execution of the grand launch event / Conference for the VWF initiative.
    • Coordinate logistics, manage budgets, and oversee event marketing and promotion to ensure successful participation and engagement.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including women entrepreneurs, investors, government agencies, and community leaders.
    • Serve as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the VWF initiative, representing its mission, vision, and impact to internal and external audiences.

    Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

    • Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of VWF initiatives, tracking key performance indicators and outcomes.
    • Generate regular reports and updates for stakeholders, donors, and partners, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

    Requirements

    • Degree or equivalent in Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Human Rights, Gender / Women's Studies, International Development, or other relevant fields required.
    • A project/programme management certification would be an added advantage.
    • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience at NGO-related development projects.
    • Technical expertise and previous work experience in applying economic empowerment principles, piloting, or applying of innovative approaches to income generation for women, and economic empowerment of women.
    • Experience coordinating and liaising with government agencies and/or donors is an asset.
    • Experience with governments, international institutions, and in lobbying activities.
