    Senior Instrument Technician Lead

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES  

    • Raise permit for the execution of each job as may be assigned for execution 
    • Adhere strictly to the requirements of the Permit-to-Work system in the execution of maintenance work and ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times to achieve expected high safety standard 
    • Carry out all necessary safety critical functions as identified, assigned and defined in the bowties to ensure that the effectiveness of the control barriers and recovery measures are maintained 
    • Carry out fault diagnosis and maintenance activities (disassembly, assembly, repairs, servicing, etc) on rotating or static equipment in the field, to the required quality and safety standards in order to ensure Plant reliability, integrity, and availability 
    • Carry out maintenance activities on rotating and static equipment in the field or workshop to the required quality standard and operate machine tools (lathes, grinding machines, valve test panels, etc) to test equipment and fabricate spares for equipment overhauls to ensure Plant reliability, integrity, and availability 
    • Input and updates equipment history records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System for accurate reliability data 
    • Assist Supervisor to ensure spares parts request and stock proposals are made in good time to minimize equipment downtime due to spare parts unavailability 

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Education:

    • Higher National Diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics) 

    Experience: 

    • Minimum 3-5 years post-qualification experience in the Oil & Gas company.

    Spares Specialist

    Basic functions & Principal Responsibilities:  

    • Identify and establish common, standardized component or assembly designs as well as the decision support tools that promote such design/part/supplier re-use to prevent overstocking or over-ordering of common items. 
    • Collect/maintain required item master file account setup information (including full buying description and photographs) and documentation and load into purchasing system, ensuring that documentation and pictures are correctly linked to maintainable items in system to provide visibility of spares to the users. 
    • Provide technical support for the procurement process and, disposal of obsolete, surplus, moribund or damaged (quarantine) items in the inventory as identified by the inventory analysts and warehouse supervisors and identify replacement stock where applicable, to ensure availability of fit-for-purpose stock. 
    • Liaise with discipline engineers for resolution of all specification queries from vendors, buyers, or end users to prevent supply of off-spec items to stock and reduce the risk of stock-outs. 
    • Liaise with senior planners to develop and implement stock review program to identify duplicates, determine wrongly grouped items to achieve cost avoidance/savings. 
    • Work with discipline engineers to resolve end-user inquiries to issues regarding inspection of new items delivered to the warehouse as well as Criticism of Materials (COMs) arising from any rejected items, and stock analysis in order to achieve optimum availability of critical/non-critical stock items in stock. 

    Job requirements 

     Education: 

    • A University Degree/Higher National Diploma preferably in reputable engineering disciplines. 

    Experience: 

    • 5 years post graduate experience, out of which 3 years should have been spent in a 
    • warehousing or inventory or spares management role in a reputable organization preferably an Oil & Gas company.

    Triconex Engineer

    Basic functions & Principal Responsibilities:

    • input to the review and application of safety instrumented system (SIS) design and applications.
    • Carry out routine health monitoring and maintenance activities (PR) on the plant safeguarding system and fire and gas system.
    • Support the OEM in SIS troubleshooting and carrying out corrective maintenance activities; participate in faulty hardware replacements.
    • Support the OEM in developing scope of work for SIS related activities to implement modification as part of turnaround or plant change procedure.
    • Participate in IPF protocols development and review.
    • Carry out ‘‘force’’ application SIS logic in accordance with Shell and SIS Supplier’s standards.
    • Contribute to the development of relevant procedures and work instructions for the plant Triconex PLCs; maintain SIS testing procedures and process safety management function documents As-built.
    • Support the PCD Administrator in the administration of portable medias (including laptops), and access points within the PCD.
    • Recording of activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for Audit purpose, performance Analysis, Procedures and Work Instructions improvement, and system continual improvements.

    Job requirements

    Education

    • A minimum of BSC/HND in Engineering or Sciences (Electronics/Electrical, Physics Electronics, Instrumentation, Control or Mechanical) or any other professional certification required for the job + computer literacy.

    Experience

    • A minimum of five (5) years’ post graduate experience in general field automation in the oil and gas industry with at least 2 years in similar function in an LNG plant or in a petrochemical company
    • Technical/Business Skills:
    • Experienced in necessary safety critical functions as identified, assigned, and defined in the bowties to ensure that the effectiveness of the control barriers and recovery measures are maintained.
    • Working knowledge level on Field Instrumentation, Process Automation and Safety instrumented Systems.
    • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Working Knowledge level on People, Management and Communication.

    Competencies:

    • HSSE Awareness and basic understanding.
    • Working Knowledge level on Problem solving.
    • Personal Effectiveness Awareness and basic understanding.
