    Regional Category Manager - Milk & Yoghurt (Dano Brand)

    About The Role

    • This role is based at our office in Lagos, Nigeria.
    • You will report to the Head of Marketing, West Africa and will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies to drive growth and market share for our Milk & Yoghurt products in the West Africa region.
    • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure successful implementation of category plans. Your insights into the market, consumer behaviour, and competitor analysis will be invaluable in identifying opportunities and risks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop 2-5 year Category plan/strategy for Milk & Yoghurt in West Africa; Combine market, shopper, consumer and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and execute these in close cooperation with in-market teams
    • Actively drive and deliver annual business plans together with colleagues in local markets
    • Responsible for Dano Brand plan/strategy for West Africa; define clear Brand propositions
    • Category P&L ownership - ensure efficient assortment, price/pack, driving initiatives to ensure long term profitability
    • Lead MYP Category Innovation strategy, develop pipeline to support Category growth ambition, ensuring alignment with business objectives, consumer insights, and market demands
    • Project lead of specific NPDs, support MROs, EPDs and ensure effective delivery of launches in markets
    • Execute the pipeline in collaboration with the local and global teams from ideation to market launch
    • Development of Category/Brand integrated campaign assets
    • Work closely with local in-markets team to deliver category best practice, through sharing with others and driving improvements throughout the team
    • Category/Brand budget planning & management
    • Perform other tasks as required within the Marketing function

    Head of Marketing - Lagos

    As Head of Marketing, you will have a seat on the country leadership team. You will be right hand to the Managing Director Nigeria, and instrumental in driving the commercial agenda and profitability. You will be responsible for executing marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, increase market share, and achieve business objectives. You will lead a team of five marketing professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of marketing initiatives.

    With your strong commercial acumen and experience you will provide insights, analysis and decision papers that enable our business to grow and become more robust.
     

    Key responsibilities
     

    • Execute Marketing plans: Create comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company's objectives and target market. Identify key marketing opportunities and implement execution plans to capitalize on them.
    • Brand management: Oversee the management of the Arla brand in Nigeria. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints in collaboration and alignment with the Regional team
    • Market research and analysis: Interpret and utilize market data to make informed decisions and drive marketing strategies.
    • Campaign execution: Lead the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, traditional media, and experiential marketing. Monitor campaign performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize results.
    • Food service: Manage and expand our Food service business.
      Sales and Distribution: Manage the sales and distribution of our Yoghurt and Fresh milk category.
    • Team leadership and development: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to foster their growth and development.
    • P & L: Manage local P&L, driving initiatives to deliver profitability targets
      Budget management: Manage country marketing budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost efficiency.
    • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, product development, and finance, to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts. Foster strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors
    • Stakeholder management: Manage external agency/supplier relationship, as well as internal stakeholders (including JV partner)

     

    Your track record:

    • As a person you have great leadership and can set direction for your team.
    • You have a robust and collaborative nature across cultures and execute a solid and structured follow-through on priorities and relationship management.

    Specifically, you have:

    • Bachelor's degree in any Discipline. Masters degree in Business Administration and/or Management, Economics, Accounting or similar is a plus
    • 10+ years proven experience in marketing leadership roles within the FMCG Industry
    • Strong understanding of the Nigerian market and consumer behavior.
    • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills.

    Category Customer Shopper Marketing Manager - Lagos

    About the Role

    • This role is based within the region in West Africa.
    • As the Category Customer Shopper Marketing (CCSM) Manager, you will be the “voice of the customer/shopper” and the local commercial teams in West Africa. You will collaborate closely with the Regional, Local Marketing teams & other relevant stakeholders to secure excellent commercial executions. Your insights into consumer behaviour, market trends, and category dynamics will be instrumental in delivering impactful results.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop consumer centric growth strategies. Combine market, shopper and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and execute these in close cooperation with in-market teams.
    • Develop channel strategies (Foodservice, Traditional, Modern trade & other alternate channels). Lead development and implementation in accordance with local market needs
    • Drive the objective of being the “Centre of Excellence” for the region by delivering on “insights to action” and creating world class enablers / comprehensive shopper marketing toolkits covering the full “path to purchase” for our shoppers across different channels. Toolkits are meant to be “Plug N Play” for local markets speedy production and flawless execution.
    • Actively drive and deliver annual business plans together with local markets, to deliver strong growth agenda. Develop annual category calendar plans and ensure monthly updates and alignment between regional / local teams to deliver the best ROI for our campaigns.
    • Support local markets in their JBP meetings with top customers by creating compact category growth story that highlights our dairy expertise/captainship and creates a win-win proposition with top retailer partners.
    • Lead perfect store program from regional perspective by creating regional templates/tools for localisation and adaptations to fix Trade fundamentals. All developed tools should capture shopper insights, address channels dynamics and de-liver on our brands growth priorities
    • Build Customer and shopper marketing capabilities across the markets
    • Develop commercial propositions for key NPDs/MROs and be the voice of CCSM early in the innovation process
    • Drive initiatives to optimize trade and BTL marketing investments
    • Create regional synergies by identifying and sharing across the region best practices from different markets to benefit from and replicate
    • Perform other tasks as required within the Marketing function
