    Social Performance Manager

    Description

    Design and implement a comprehensive Community Development Strategy through:

    • Defining and executing comprehensive Social Management Systems in line with Group Performance Standards.
    • Supporting and participating in the execution of technical social studies/ surveys such.
    • Coordinating the development of a fit-for-purpose Community Development Plan (CDP) which is premised on addressing identified community needs.
    • Developing and executing budgets for community programs and robust community engagement
    • Defining and implementing work plans for CDP implementation and stakeholder engagement.
    • Coordinating the activities of all NGOs, CBOs and local institutions in implementing the CDP.

    Community Engagement:

    • Build and maintain relationships with Nascon stakeholders, local authorities in host communities and represent organization in all community related engagements. Support local networking with active individuals and community groups.
    • Lead and organize all stakeholder engagement activities (i.e. community sensitizations, town hall meetings, project disclosure meetings, CDP validation meetings, Feedback Interactive Sessions etc.)

    Grievance Management:

    • Design and implement a robust Grievance Management Process (GMP) in line with relevant DIL Group Standard.
    • Regularly update and keep a comprehensive grievance register.

    Resource Mobilization/Mentoring:

    • Support Local Institutions in advocating to relevant government agencies, stakeholders and to other CBOs for implementation of community initiatives.

     Capacity Building:

    • Build internal capacity on Social Performance thorough regularly scheduled training and workshops.

    Build capacity of community institutions through training and workshops.

    HSSE Compliance:

    • Drive, enforce and monitor compliance to all relevant Group Management Standards and Policies.

    Reporting:

    • Coordinate and submit all reports as defined by relevant Group Social Standards and Policies.
    • Report on key Social Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Group HSSE on a monthly basis.

    Requirements

    Experience, Skills & Knowledge

    • A degree in Sociology, Community or Rural Development, Political Science, Humanities or related fields. A Master’s degree in related field would be an advantage but not compulsory.
    • At least five years working experience in similar role in a NGO or CBO.
    • In-depth historical knowledge of community related issues with proven Conflict Resolution skills.
    • Knowledge in gender issues and working with vulnerable groups will be an added advantage.
    • Ability to speak local language and fluency in English is essential.
    • Possesses problem solving, communication, good planning, reporting, organizational and persuasive skills
    • Proactive personality with ability to work independently and manage Knowledge and Information
    • Project Management Skills and ability to deliver training programs.
    • Possesses strong interpersonal, computer, excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Deputy General Manager, Quality Assurance and Quality Control

    Description

    • Oversee and coordinate product testing and inspection process for DCP products to ensure optimal quality of final products is achieved and pre-determined standards of production are maintained. Oversee the implementation of ISO systems for quality management systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Drive the implementation of organization-wide quality control and ISO processes including Quality Management Systems (QMS).
    • Prepare and drive the implementation of the annual Quality Control Plan for the plant.
    • Ensure that production quality control processes are implemented in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.
    • Supervise laboratory operations to ensure precision in the sample testing process for raw materials, intermediate products, final products, oil, water, gas, etc. and appropriate calibration of equipments.
    • Ensure all set product quality targets are met and deviations from target quality standards are promptly identified and rectified.
    • Coordinate the weaning and pilling of cement raw materials, and control of chemical parameters.
    • Liaise with process control operatives with regards to the quality control parameters for semi-finished (Raw meal and Clinker) and final products.
    • Support the Plant Director in ensuring final product meet quality specifications and agreed standards.
    • Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on laboratory equipments and effective housekeeping is conducted in the laboratories.
    • Prepare annual calibration schedule and ensure calibration is carried out on laboratory equipments as scheduled.
    • Manage the interface between the QA/QC function and other relevant departments within the plant.
    • Provide overall guidance, leadership and strategic direction to the country plant QA/ QC team.
    • Provide periodic reports on the activities and performance of the plant QA/ QC function for the attention of the Plant Director.
    • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Plant Director.

    Manager, Instrumentation

    Description

    We are currently seeking an experienced Manager, Instrumentation to join their our Ibese Cement Plant. This role will for the cement mills implementation of instrumentation engineering and maintenance policies with company SOPs to ensure optimal plant availability for production.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain instrumentation systems and procedures for construction projects in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
    • Oversee the design, installation, calibration and maintenance of all instrumentation systems in use.
    • Develop instrumentation system operational procedures and ensure all instrumentation technicians are trained in their use.
    • Coordinate instrumentation system repairs and upgrades with external contractors and suppliers.
