    Job Description:

    As the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's mission to ensure unfettered access to quality education for every learner in Nigeria. Your leadership will be crucial in advancing the organization’s vision of providing a values-driven, future-ready, education that empowers individuals to reach their full potential in a society and economy built on knowledge and values.

    Responsibilities:

    Strategic Vision and Leadership:

    • Develop and communicate a compelling strategic vision aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.
    • Provide inspirational leadership to the team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build and maintain relationships with education reform partners, fostering synergies and scalable initiatives.
    • Oversee the recruitment of education reform partners and ensure engagement in all the organization activities.
    • Advocate for meaningful education reform, collaborating with stakeholders in both the public and private sectors at the highest levels of education policy including the presidency, ministers of education at federal and state levels, and other senior officials.

    Capacity Building and Best Practices:

    • Continuously explore, define, and develop capacity for best practices in human capital development.
    • Advise, support, and ensure the quality of education reform initiatives, aligning them with the organization's objectives.

    Innovative Teaching and Learning:

    • Curate, promote, and encourage the adoption of innovative teaching and learning initiatives.
    • Foster a culture of creativity and openness to new approaches in education delivery.

    Data-Driven Decision Making:

    • Discover, generate, archive, and utilize education-specific data to inform and guide policy and practice. 
    • Use data-driven insights to assess and enhance the impact of the organization's programs and initiatives.

    Financial Leadership:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.
    • Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources to support the organization's programs and initiatives.

    Fundraising:

    • Lead fundraising efforts, including developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, grant applications, and donor engagement strategies.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential donors, partners, and funding organizations to secure financial support for the organization's initiatives.

    Expense Management:

    • Develop and implement effective financial controls to manage expenses within budgetary constraints.
    • Collaborate closely with the finance team to monitor and analyze the organization's financial performance, making strategic adjustments as needed.

    Grant Management:

    • Oversee the application and reporting processes for grants, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
    • Collaborate with relevant teams to prepare compelling grant proposals and reports.

    Transparency and Accountability:

    • Ensure transparency in financial operations and maintain accountability to donors stakeholders, and the Board.
    • Provide regular financial reports and updates to the board and other stakeholders.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate these risks and safeguard the organization's financial stability.
    • Stay informed about relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.

    Requirements:

    Education and Experience:

    • A relevant advanced degree in education, business, or a related field.
    • At least 12 years of proven leadership experience, preferably in the education or nonprofit sector.

    Project Coordinator (NGO/Education sector)

    Job Description:

    As the Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies and programs aimed at realizing the social reform mandate of the organization. This includes developing resources and roadmaps for individual team members and organizations in line with the organization's vision, mission, and identity. You will oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of ongoing programs/projects, including planning, organizing, implementing, leading, and controlling program activities.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    Management/Administrative Responsibilities

    • Lead the planning and coordination of the organization’s programs/initiatives.
    • Provide extensive support to organizations and entities within the organization membership in the design, development, and execution of innovative programs/projects.
    • Develop an annual program calendar that drives the organization’s innovative activities and those of its members.
    • Promote synergy and program support mechanisms among the organization members.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders in education and the organization, ensuring smooth coordination of programs/projects and post-implementation support.
    • Collaborate with partners on multi-agency initiatives to co-create solutions for complex needs.
    • Track and monitor program cases to ensure timely responses and proper action plans, including long-term support.
    • Support the innovative teams in implementing their diverse programs and initiatives.
    • Work closely with the organization members on program conception, design, budgeting, and execution.
    • Manage budgets and monitor program effectiveness through evaluation efforts, coordinating, collating, and tracking the outcome measures and performance indicators of the organization programs regularly.
    • Stay informed about the latest developments in education innovation and maintain a knowledge repository for maximum impact.
    • Coordinate the innovative team’s engagement plans and activities within assigned programs with the organization partners and stakeholders.
    • Provide project and contact management support to innovation teams and the various initiatives within the organization.

    Technical/Professional Responsibilities

    • Oversee and coordinate program delivery, including tracking program activities against agreed timelines and escalating any delays in milestone delivery.
    • Oversee program budgets and monitor project performance against budgets.
    • Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agendas.
    • Ensure the implementation of policies and best practices in program execution.
    • Maintain program budgets and track expenditures/transactions.
    • Plan and coordinate the promotion, design, and implementation of the organization awareness, education, and training programs within the scope of the organization’s vision, mission, and thematic sub-programs.
    • Conceptualize, develop, and implement thematically relevant and impactful programs that build capacity for reform among the organization members in the educational sector.
    • Develop appropriate mechanisms for monitoring and assessing the impact and performance of programs.
    • Plan annual program goals, objectives, activities, and budgets tied to the organization’s overall strategy; measure and monitor goal performance indicators.
    • Implement performance-based budgeting across all programs.
    • Design and implement program performance management mechanisms to monitor output, ensuring that standards are maintained and deadlines met without compromising quality.
    • Carry out administrative/managerial tasks necessary for the day-to-day operations of the organization.

    Minimum Required Job Specifications

    Academic and Professional:

    • First degree (or equivalent) in Education, Humanities, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
    • A Master’s degree and/or Professional Certification would be an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of applied relevant professional experience, with at least 2 years in capacity development programs.
    • Knowledge of program management and development procedures.
    • Experience working with similar developmental organizations, CSR departments, or related fields.
    • Familiarity with the development agency space would be an added advantage.

    Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (NGO/Education Sector)

    Job Description:

    As the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, you will play a vital role in assessing, strategizing, and implementing initiatives under the Education Sector Plan and Strategic Plan. Your extensive expertise will be crucial in transforming the educational landscape through various mechanisms, focusing on all spheres of education from ECCDE to Tertiary, including the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create and implement a comprehensive M&E system to continuously track the progress of the organization's Education Transformation projects.
    • Regularly conduct capacity development for key project partner officers, enhancing their skills in Strategic Planning, M&E, and Research through training and coaching.
    • Review key sector plans and policies, and facilitate the development of medium-term sector plans for the years 2025-2027, as well as yearly strategic plans starting from 2025 to improve sector budget performance.
    • Manage the performance of the organization’s projects, including Planning, Monitoring, Measurement, Evaluation, and Reporting.
    • Develop an M&E Framework to guide project implementation, results monitoring, and measurement, including input, output, outcome, and impact monitoring.
    • Oversee baseline surveys and periodic results measurement and assessments, including needs assessment, learning assessments, and whole-child/whole-school assessments.
    • Prepare logframe indicator baseline and periodic measurement reports.
    • Support the development and review of activity reports, research reports, and periodic progress reports.
    • Develop, maintain, and monitor the project implementation plan and activity tracker.

    Requirements:

    Education and Experience:

    • A relevant advanced degree in education, business, statistics, economics, finance, or a related field.
    • At least 12 years of proven direct M&E experience, preferably in the education or nonprofit sector.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong strategic thinking and vision-setting abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain partnerships.
