    Commercial Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Commercial Manager to spearhead the commercial activities for our flagship product, the Save80 Clean Cook Stove. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between sustainable technology and market demands, ultimately contributing to our mission of combating climate change while improving lives across Nigeria.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Business Development:

      • Develop comprehensive business models, with a focus on sales through banks and other Microfinance Institutions/Organizations.
    • Sales Leadership:

      • Develop, implement, and closely monitor a guided sales strategy to achieve growth and meet sales targets.
    • Relationship Management:

      • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with established customers through meticulous account management and attentiveness to their needs.
    • Supply Chain Collaboration:

      • Work closely with the supply chain team to understand and monitor inventory management systems.
    • Financial Oversight:

      • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure financial targets are met and reporting is accurate.
    • Operational Management:

      • Demonstrate a hands-on mentality in tasks such as hiring local warehouses and establishing business partnerships.
    • Government Relations:

      • Leverage your experience to comfortably interact with governmental institutions and their employees, representing at most fair in high-level discussions.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • A strong University Degree, preferably in Marketing or a related business field, demonstrating your business acumen.
    • Minimum of 5 years of corporate B2B and B2C direct selling and sales management/relationship management experience in related industries.
    • Proven track record in business development, particularly in sales to low-income target groups.
    • Willingness to relocate to Kano and work from there.
    • Business-fluent English is required. Proficiency in other local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, or Fulfulde) is a significant advantage.

    Business Development Manager

    Key Responsibilities
    Sales Leadership and Strategy:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for Save80 stoves across northern states and the broader Nigerian market.

    Business Development and Expansion:

    • Spearhead the expansion of the Save80 cookstoves project throughout Nigeria.

    Relationship Management:

    • Acquire, maintain, and grow relationships with local sales partners and networks.
    • Negotiate conditions and contracts with partners and stakeholders.

    Operational Management:

    • Demonstrate hands-on leadership in operational tasks such as hiring local warehouses and establishing business partnerships.

    Financial Acumen:

    • Develop and manage sales budgets and forecasts.
    • Work with micro-credits and understand cash flow management in the context of sales to low-income groups.

    Market Intelligence:

    • Conduct market research and analysis to inform sales strategies and identify emerging trends.
    • Stay abreast of competitor activities and industry developments.

    Reporting and Analytics:

    • Provide regular, detailed reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and market trends to senior management.
    • Utilize data analytics to drive informed decision-making and strategy refinement.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • A strong university degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An advanced degree is an advantage.
    • Minimum of 5 years of corporate B2B and B2C direct selling and sales management experience in related industries.
    • Proven track record in business development, particularly in sales to low-income target groups.

    Social Media Officer

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategic Marketing Planning:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns for the Save 80 Clean Cook Stove.

    Content Creation and Management:

    • Craft engaging, persuasive content for various marketing channels including social media, websites, and traditional advertising materials.
    • Collaborate with design teams to produce high-quality promotional materials that align with our brand identity.

    Market ResearchandAnalysis:

    • Conduct thorough market research to gain insights into consumer behaviour, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Analyze marketing data and campaign performance metrics to continuously optimize strategies and tactics.

    Brand Management:

    • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing channels.

    Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with Sales, Production, and Monitoring & Evaluation units to ensure alignment on marketing strategies and initiatives.
    • Coordinate with external agencies and partners as needed to execute marketing plans effectively.

    Reporting and Analytics:

    • Provide regular, detailed reports on marketing activities, campaign outcomes, and market trends to senior management.

    Digital Marketing:

    • Leverage digital marketing channels to expand reach and engage target audiences effectively.
    • Stay abreast of digital marketing trends and best practices, implementing innovative strategies to drive online engagement and conversions.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • University Degree in Marketing or a related field.
    • Proven background in Sales and Marketing, with a track record of successful campaign execution.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
