    Project Manager

    Our client, a Pan African cloud-based digital service provider with points of contacts in 16 African cities, seeks to hire a Project Manager

    Reporting to: Senior Manager, Project Management
    Purpose statement

    Assist Senior Manager, Project Management in project deliveries, efficiently within an agreed Scope, Time and Budget while managing all stakeholders’ expectations
    Principal Accountabilities/Objectives

    • Coordinate the installation of network equipment at customer premises or at core network nodes.  Prepares and manages project plans and implementation schedules using MS Project, JIIRA,
    • Google Sheets and other suitable software.  Assist with weekly collation of project management office reports as assigned by the Snr.
    • Manager Project Management.  Hold regular and stand-up meetings with all stakeholders on project status.
    • Produce accurate project reports for customer and internal consumption.
    • Control the project implementation process.
    • Assist in invoicing according to milestone. Assist with project equipment ordering.

    VoIP Design Specialist

    Our client, a Pan African cloud-based digital service provider with points of contacts in 16 African cities, seeks to hire a VoIP Design Specialist

    Reporting to: Program Manager, Network Engineering
    Purpose statement: This position is responsible for planning, and implementing VoIP services via existing IP/PBX systems.
    Job Summary

    The VoIP Specialist will provide overall network design and support for a broad range of activities with a primary focus on Voice over IP (VoIP) -based products and services. This employee will support installation, configuration, maintenance and usage of our VoIP infrastructure. Will propose solutions to management to make sure all VoIP requirements are based on future needs and current usage. Acts as the final point of contact for VoIP problems in collaboration with Network Operations as needed.
    Principal Accountabilities /Objectives

    • Lead the setup, integration operation of the VoIP services to customers using existing IP-PBX system.
    • Carry out high-level Troubleshooting on VoIP issues including compatibility, performance and quality of service
    • Lead the installation, testing, troubleshooting, monitoring and support different VoIP equipment in the lab and production network.
    • Develop reports to assist in the review, analysis and evaluation of deployed solutions and in the design of new technology solutions.
    • Works closely with different departments on projects related to the design, development, deployment, monitoring and evaluation of new products and services –
    • Work with Customers to activate services and assist with problem resolution when required.
    • Participate in projects of large scale.
    • Implement proof of concepts and derive results from consistent testing methodologies and measures.
    • Responsible for updating technical documentation associated with each implementation.
    • Develop and maintain supporting documentation.
    • Follow defined Change, Problem and Incident management processes.

    Communications and Work Relationships

    • Collaborate with various divisions within the Operations department and come up with strategies for network evolution.
    • Act as a mentor for the less experienced engineers.
    • Make recommendations for network improvement.

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competency requirements

    • A Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related discipline with cumulative grading equal to or greater than Second class Upper division ( 2-1).
    • Strong knowledge and Six (6) or more years Hands-On-Experience with VoIP, IP-PBX, Unified Communications, SIP, OCS, and Call Centre Applications.
    • Functional experience with general database implementation, including, setup and running database scripts.
    • Prior technology VoIP implementation and support experience with Enterprise type accounts.
    • Solid understanding of IP and inter-networking (LAN & WAN) technologies is mandatory for this role.
    • Very strong knowledge of Softswitch class 4 and Softswitch class 5.
    • CCVP certification is a strong advantage
    • Knowledge and understanding of information security principles and practices.
    • Understanding of networking protocols TCPIP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, SNMP, Syslog, SSH etc.
    • MS-Office skills.

    Product Specialist – (Cloud and Hosting)

    Reporting to: Snr. Manager Product Portfolio
    Purpose statement

    Overall responsibility for the development and management of the Cloud product set.

    Principal Accountabilities/Objectives

    • Work with Stakeholders to define/scope and develop world-class Cloud, SaaS, Backup and DR offerings
    • Oversee, support and champion initiatives across various teams to translate product and service delivery strategies into successful business outcomes
    • Develop and present compelling business cases and product positioning in the marketplace  
    • Define product definitions, pricing strategies, product features as well as all service and support aspects of the overall Cloud Services product offerings.
    • Identify and work with vendor partners to establish thought leadership in their various markets and work with them to reach their customer base.
    • Manage cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Operations, Engineering, Solution Architecture, and Sales to help define and shape the go-to-market strategy for your products.
    • Own the product lifecycle and have a point of view on change management in all aspects of new product introduction and sustaining efforts.
    • Evangelize our current solutions internally and externally via blogs, conferences, workshops and customer meet-ups.
    • Work directly with the Executive Team as necessary to fulfill the vision and strategy of the corporate efforts that are executed inside your portfolio.
    • Provide the Sales Organisation business consultative support required to sell the Cloud product. The Product Specialist shall function as the in-house product subject matter expert and a reference point for the Sales and Solutions Architecture team
    • Provide pricing support to the Solutions Architecture team for pre-sales solution formulation including bid preparation
    • Have a good understanding of customer and market dynamics.

    • Ability to take complex technical concepts and communicate them simply and effectively to non-technical audience.
    • A desire to expand knowledge of sales, marketing and general business management

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited
