    Assistant Stores Officer

    Job Summary

    • Manage receipt and inspection of inbound materials into specialised stores e.g., Mines spares, explosives, diesel, lubricants, PP bags etc.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure proper storage of store items in line with safety requirements.
    • Issue stock to user departments in line with company policies.
    • Maintain optimal stock levels.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of store items, develop and submit reports of inventory levels.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the, Inventory Officer.

    Requirements
    Education and Work Experience:

    • OND (Purchasing and Supply) or other related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience.

    Senior Officer, Human Asset Management & Administration

    Description

    • Manage administrative activities involving the lease of offices and living accommodation, purchase of office equipment, purchase of office supplies, housekeeping, security, employee safety, etc.
    • Planning and preparing monthly reports regarding funding required for the maintenance of infrastructure and office facilities.

    Operational and Functional Administration:

    • Plan and coordinate administrative systems and procedures and design ways to streamline processes.
    • Ensure a smooth and adequate flow of information within the terminal to facilitate operations.
    • Ensure that document management is provided in accordance with legal provisions and company quality standards. Ensure the provision of all ancillary services and housekeeping.
    • Monitor the inventory of office supplies and the purchase of new equipment taking into account budget constraints.
    • Oversee the process of acquiring new service providers related to all outsourced services under the administrative section.
    • Monitoring of costs and expenses to assist with budget preparation.
    • Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations.
    • Stay abreast of all organizational changes and business.
    • Organize the administrative fleet and manage repairs, vehicle maintenance, etc.
    • Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
    • Arrange for the relocation of employees, which includes arrangements for their family needs.
    • Examine the consumption of utilities and strive to minimize costs.
    • Supervise all facility staff (guards, technicians, field guards, etc.) and external contractors.
    • Control of activities such as the allocation of parking places parking, waste disposal, building security, etc. 
    • Perform analyzes and forecasts.
    • Contribute to the overall performance of the service by executing the targets that have been set for it.
    • Attend training sessions organized to strengthen skills.
    • Perform other tasks assigned by the Head of Terminal
    • Manage the staff process, including recruiting interviewing and hiring

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. / HND (Business Admin/Sociology/ Industrial Psych./MNIPM)
    • Minimum of 9 years cognate experience or MBA + 6 years’ experience
    • Professional qualification in HR Management e.g., Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) will be an added advantage.

    • Basic understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the manufacturing industry.

    Description

    • We are looking for a creative Mechanical Engineer to work on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning.

    Instrumentation Technician

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform all work order maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of plant equipment as directed.
    • Troubleshoot, inspect, test, maintain, repair, clean and calibrate instrumentation and solid state and microprocessor based control equipment including plant communications equipment, programmable controllers, distributive control systems, generator excitation equipment, battery chargers, and semi-conductor devices.
    • Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, transmitters, etc. as needed.
    • Install control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment.
    • Use a wide range of test equipment, including recorders, computers, control and tuning modules, PC based software analyzer programs, oscilloscopes, data analyzers, logic test equipment, analogue and digital multi-meters, meggars and other test equipment, while performing tests to identify problems and to maintain and calibrate equipment to performance standards.
    • Make regular inspection rounds of plant instrumentation, and control equipment.
    • Assist in developing detailed preventive and predictive maintenance procedures for plant instrumentation and control equipment.
    • Install, build, or modify plant instrument, and control equipment as directed by the Instrumentation Engineer or Section Head.
    • Troubleshooting, repair, and minor programming of various PLC control systems, frequency drives and other electrical equipment.
    • Participate in plant safety, health and environmental programs and observe safety in accordance with government and company standards.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Section Head from time to time.

    Requirements
    Education and Work Experience:

    • Ordinary National Diploma of its equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
    • Trade Test with Minimum of (8) years relevant work experience.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Good knowledge of phase testers, multimeters, meggers and other testing equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Very good organisational skills.
    • Good interpersonal, networking and teaming skills.
    • Proficiency in the use of office productivity tools
