    Heavy Duty Mechanics/Electricians

    Job Summary

    This position has the following responsibilities. To ensure availability and reliability of heavy-duty equipment deployed to project sites.

    Job Details

    Leadership

    • Conduct daily tools box meeting at the maintenance workshop to ensure clear understanding of daily maintenance activities and HSE requirement of the job.
    • Have general over view of the repair, overhaul, and modification of vehicles and equipment with in the unit
    • Improve the mean time to repair by proactively ensuring the required spares are available for their team
    • Ensures the quality of work meets the requiredstandard and improveson the mean time betweenfailures of repaired equipment.
    • Execute an effective predictive and preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time. Core/Technical
    • Perform maintenance and repair work on gasoline-and diesel-powered vehicles or heavy-duty equipment such as trucks, crawler cranes, tractors, excavators, bulldozer, generators, and similar items
    • Using a basic variety of hand-tools and test equipment, locates worn, dirty, or poorly adjusted parts and completes repairs by cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing worn or defective items, such as replacing starters, generators, ignition and wiring
    • Identifies and obtains standard parts or replacement items through review of manuals, comparisons with other parts, etc., and insures that adjustments and settings meet established manufacturer, manual, and other specifications
    • Works under the general supervision of the Mechanical/Electrical Foreman with work being assigned through established maintenance schedules and delegated responsibility for accomplishment of needed preventive maintenance and repair through the exercise of judgment and experience in performing assigned maintenance and repair work
    • Performs mechanical/Electrical maintenance, overhaul, and repair of various makes, types, and sizes of passenger cars and trucks. Work is performed in the same manner as described above for heavy duty equipment.
    • Performs maintenance and repair activities on various pieces of heavy equipment including but not limited to heavy-duty truck, excavators, bulldozers, graders, cranes, and backhoes.
    • Determine the cause of malfunctions and advice the mechanics/electricians towards the repairs of a variety of heavy mobile equipment and vehicles, such as bulldozers, graders, excavators and similar heavy construction and earth moving vehicles; mobile cranes; heavy equipment; and heavy special purpose vehicles which have mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems.

    Requirements

    • Trade Test/SSCE HND / B.Sc. Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
    • 5 years experience in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of Heavy Duty Equipment

    Equipment Operator

    Job Summary

    Ensure Operating safety standards are maintained in all operations, by ensuring that all policies are adhered to strictly and to also ensure that operators maintain and preserve the assets assigned to them.

    Job Details

    Leadership 

    • Take care of Equipment and  accessories under his control by keeping it clean always. 
    • Comply with all approved procedures in all circumstances and seek approval in case there is need to act otherwise. 
    • Report fault on time and other checks including the interior components, to enable the system to plan.
    • Ensure safety standards are maintained in carrying out all operations. 
    • Re-instate the equipment to ready-for-use state after every operation /project completion. 
    • Ensure that the equipment  in your care has valid survey/particulars before operating/driving/use. 

    Core/Technical

    • To report any fault or faults/Damages to logistics Officer. 
    • To carry out test, certify repaired equipment okay for use. 
    • Comply to policies and procedures for good asset upkeep (truck cleanliness, temperature and service)
    • Report immediately of any broken-down equipment outside any of our bases of project camp/site to logistics supervisor and follow up in liaison with logistics officer to ensure the vehicle is towed to maintenance workshop or send Maintenance team for recovery.

    Requirements

    • SSCE/OND
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in driving/operating/rigging

    Maintenance Manager

    Job Summary

    TO Lead and manage the equipment maintenance, ensure optimal equipment performance at the project and all times. Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures for the Maintenance to effectively support Asset reliability/availability in successful project delivery.

    Job Details

    Leadership

    • Supervise the planning and scheduling of the maintenance workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, and equipment.
    • Organize Maintenance Support Teams, as needed, to support project executions. 
    • Delegate appropriate responsibility for the support/provision of 95% support to equipment availability/reliability across the group. 
    • Establish Maintenance Department policies and procedures and ensure they are effectively enforced.
    • Develop an annual budget that will adequately provide for required Maintenance activities. Review and report monthly on performance against budget.
    • Plan and provide for an adequate supply and ensure control over spare parts and maintenance supplies.
    • Render monthly reports on maintenance activities to the OTM and the PM
    • Carry out periodic maintenance audit.
    • Execute an effective predictive and preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time.
    • Provide positive and professional leadership to Operations and Technical staff in the Oilserv Group

    Core/Technical

    • Exercise significantly more judgment and independence in determining the methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems.
    • Maintain all operating equipment in satisfactory condition.
    • Monitor the flow of spare parts request and ensure maintenance timelines are met.
    • Provide advice on repair, overhaul, and modification of Company vehicles and equipment.
    • Recommend modifications of existing equipment and facilities and the possible replacement of existing equipment which will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.
    • Recommend assets for disposal in line with company policy and oversee the disposal process to ensure good housekeeping.
    • Undertake  periodic measurement  of divisional   KPIs and  initiate  actions to   re-align  the KPIs  to  the divisional objectives.

    Requirements

    • HND / B.Sc. Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
    •  Professional membership is an added advantage
    •  10 - 20 years’ experience in Asset maintenance / management 
    • 5 – 10 years’ experience in Logistics and Transport Management

    Project Engineer Coordinator

    Job Summary

    Coordinate efforts at all levels of technical specialists to review and approve supporting deliverables for project development, detailed design and close out. Oversee and direct the work of discipline engineers, technologists, designers, and external resources in the engineering process including: a) development of project costs, schedule estimates and construction feasibility and ensuring completion of technical supporting documentation meeting level project requirements b) detailed engineering design activities including materials and equipment specifications, Issued for Construction (IFC) documentation, work procedures, and commissioning procedures; c) onsite construction monitoring and troubleshooting support, witness testing and commissioning procedures; d) Review of As-built drawings and delivery of all project engineering documentation for close out.     • Develop procedures and execute construction works as per project requirement with multiple project engineers and managers within the project including engineering, procurement, EPC, owner's team, and external construction management consultants.
    • Responsible for project site functions included but not limited to Project Management, Site
    • Management, Project Control Management, Engineering Management, Procurement, Construction Management, etc. are all coordinated and properly staffed to meet the project(s) goals.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout the project(s).

    • Ensure safety and QA/QC programs are established by all parties and maintained and conduct reviews of detailed design drawing and specifications.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in any field
    • Professional HR certification; CIPM, HRCI, SHRM or CIPD
    • 8years’ HR experience in a fast paced or high-volume org. 
    • Experience in the oil and gas industry is an added advantage. 
    •  Ability to communicate at all levels 
    • Excellent organizational/time management skills 
    • Working knowledge of an Applicants Tracking System (ATS) or SAP HR
