    Field Operator Supervisor Services - SOKU

    Academics    A higher qualification (HND/Bachelors) in any science or engineering discipline.
    Gender    Male/Female.
    Start Date    1st September 2024

    Work Experience    

    • Minimum of 5 years working as a field operations support, technician or permit coordinator in an oil and gas producing field location.
    • Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in SPDC.

    Skills

    • Ability to read and interpret process engineering flow schemes (PEFS) and process drawings.
    • Skill level knowledge in running/managing in permit coordination.
    • Basic understanding of Distributed control system. Preferably Yokogawa DCS
    • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
    • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
    • Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
    • Self-Motivated and performs under minimal supervision
    • Demonstration of a full knowledge of wellhead systems & integrity management (installation, completion and testing of various components and seals)
    • Experience in actuator valves and ESD systems operation.
    • Experience in oil wellhead operations and troubleshooting skills.
    • A good understanding of the working principles of field instrumentation and process automation systems.

    Roles and Responsibilities    

    The Field Operator Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

    • Lead a team of operators to deliver simple and complex activities in the plant.
    • Manage the shutdown permitry and isolation management process.
    • Apply the emergency response procedure where and when necessary.
    • Report and close out UA/UC.
    • Serves as PTW signatory
    • Apply the HSSE policy, legislations applicable to crude oil transfer and export.
    • Adhere to plant operational procedures.
    • Monitor, control and record production rates and performance.
    • Start-up wells and facilities (hot and cold start).
    • Perform basic troubleshooting on wells and facilities to ensure stability.
    • Perform daily first line monitoring of process parameters and variables.
    • Gather daily production data, determine the production performance.
    • Participate in console review meeting, Daily notification and YTT review meeting
    • Prepare daily production report for DPR
    • Execute daily communication and Shift handover
    • Ensure optimized chemical injection rates are followed as advised.
    • Prepare equipment for maintenance interventions plant isolation etc.
    • Collaborate with other disciplines to execute planned activities.
    • Prepare the wells and facilities/equipment for (re) commencement of production/processing.
    • Perform monthly well test and sampling of producing wells.
    • Perform periodic well integrity assurance tasks and activities.
    • Supervise preparation of equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming, and other procedures as required.

    Work Cycle    

    • The work location is a land-field based in Soku Shell Facilities accessible via land and Air.
    • The job activity period is daily on 12-hour (7am to7pm) routine over a 21-day period.
    • There is a standard 3-weeks on and 3-weeks off schedule.
    • The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.
    • There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for trainings and official assignments.
    • Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arises.

    HSSE Supervision Services – Soku

    Academics  A first university degree or HND in Engineering or Sciences

    Work Experience    

    • Must have experience working in HSSE role, field Operations or document control within an Oil& Gas facility

    Technology

    • Platforms  Adept at working with enterprise Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Skype, MS Teams); SharePoint, excel and smart phones

    Professional

    • Certifications    Must be a level-3 certificate holder in HSE-MS planning, implementation and auditing, and member of any local or international safety professional bodies or emergency response institutes such as NISP, NEBOSRH, OPITO Emergency Accredited Training Centers, Nigerian Red Cross Society, UK-Ambulance Brigade, RoSPA, UK-s HSE Examination Boards, OHSAS, bsi, ISM, IRCA, etc.
    • Technical Skills    The candidate must be a seasoned and experienced field operator with HSE background having not less than 5-years professional field operations and safety experience in oil and gas, hospitality, education, construction, energy or transportation industry. A deep knowledge of the document control, permit to work system and the use of daily operations tracking tool is expected.

    Electrical Engineering Maintenance Services – SOKU

    Academic Qualification

    Skills

    • Electrical Safety
    • Application of electrical safety rules, identification, and mitigation of hazards.
    • Knowledge of electrical standards as well as electrical protection and control systems.
    • Methods of repair of Ex-equipment, including limitations and certification requirements.

    Maintenance of Electrical Equipment

    • Identify the various electrical low voltage (LV) equipment – generators, motors, lighting, heat tracing, switchgear, small transformers, UPS and batteries).
    • Identify the various high voltage (HV) equipment – generators, motors, large transformers, switchgear)
    • Evaluate and interpret equipment performance and integrity data
    • Recognize and respond to abnormal conditions and take appropriate corrective action on LV / HV equipment
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve common faults on electrical equipment
    • Plan and conduct maintenance activities in line with recognized procedures and standards
    • Apply approved procedures and standards for disassembly and reassembly of electrical equipment
    • Use of the appropriate tools and equipment
    • Execute condition monitoring activities using appropriate diagnostic tools

    Roles and Responsibilities    

    • Assess health of electrical equipment, identify equipment deviation outside normal operating parameters.
    • Participate in preparation of work method statements, risk assessments and job hazard analysis
    • Specify personal protective equipment (PPE), appropriate documentation and prepare Permit for work activity.
    • Carryout site preparation tasks in readiness for maintenance activity.
    • Identify and stage materials, equipment spares and tools for equipment maintenance.
    • Plan and implement isolation of energy source in preparation for maintenance work
    • Execute routine maintenance activities in line with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and company standards.
    • Troubleshoot and analyze electrical equipment faults using diagnostic tools, test devices and measuring instruments.
    • Support OEM field service representatives during execution of major equipment maintenance activities.
    • Conduct proper housekeeping and restore work site to a safe state after job completion.
    • Identify critical spares for ordering ahead of planned maintenance activities
    • Review equipment performance data post maintenance work and update equipment maintenance records
    • Perform reviews of operating / maintenance procedure and maintenance job routines.
    • Analyze maintenance effectiveness and productivity, propose changes to existing practices, develop and implement improvement actions.
    • Support planning of electrical scope of major / turnaround / milestone maintenance activities.
    • Participate in equipment failure investigation (root cause analysis) and apply causal learning to problem solving
    • Propose solutions to address the causes of undesirable equipment performance.
    • Support development of credible look ahead plans for work activities
    • Comply with site HSE practices and procedures.
    • Participate in HSE meetings and site safety campaigns
    • Close out all other assigned actions in line with audit findings.
