    Junior Field Technician (OAM) -NYSC Candidates Only

    Job Objective

    Working for Open Access Technical Services (OATS) to assist field support to Open Access Metro (OAM).

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • 24/7 field assistance, on-call, out-of-hours and night/weekend / public holidays working as required
    • Proactive monitoring of equipment & facilities
    • Assist in network installation, testing & commissioning, bringing into service integration
    • Assist in installing fibre cables on access and core routes according to best practices and standards
    • Assist to commission fibre spans and end-to-end fibre circuits through the use of OTDR and OLTS

    Network Architect (OAM)

    Job Objective

    Lead the architecture team to plan, design, select technologies & equipment, implement, and make required changes to the access and core fibre routes on the OAM within budget and timelines and to the correct level of quality and performance to enable client services, satisfaction and revenue to be maintained and to meet or improve company targets. To be acknowledged as the technical competence relating to the fibre network engineering within the organisation.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Plan and design of new access, metro and core duct and fibre routes, spurs and PoP sites entries, MMRs
    • Lead and manage the architect team
    • Develop Policies, Procedures, Processes, Standards, Specifications and Work Instructions related to fibre engineering design, planning, maintenance, and operations
    • Liaise with internal Project Managers and 3rd party suppliers that ensure fibre networks are designed and deployed according to design
    • Plan, submit, track and manage wayleaves and rights of way

    Job Objective

    This role is charged with assisting with the planning, implementing, executing and closure of projects within the Company. To be acknowledged as the client champion for service delivery.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist in managing OAM individual and groups of network projects as directed
    • Assist in managing virtual project teams including members from NOC, Field, Legal and Finance
    • Assist in project management of client orders from feasibility, pre-sales solution design, sales order signature to  handover, achieving high levels of client satisfaction
    • Assist in activating services as required
    • Assist in maintaining records and data

    Programme Manager (OAM)

    Job Objective

    This role is charged with the planning, implementing, executing and closure of the network architecture and programmes within OAM.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Manage OAM project management team to deliver programmes
    • Manage OAM Network Architect team to plan, design and optimise OAM infrastructure and create and maintain accurate records and ensure OSS data integrity
    • To ensure client orders are delivered on time and within budget from feasibility, pre-sales solution design, sales order signature to handover, achieving high levels of client satisfaction

    NOC Manager (OAM)

    Job Objective

    Working for Open Access Technical Services (OATS) to manage NOC services for Open Access Metro (OAM). Lead a NOC shift team to provide first-level support for OAM and partner networks, identify incidents through proactive monitoring and manage planned engineer works. To be acknowledged as the NOC champion ensuring high levels of availability and performance.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Manage the NOC shift teams, cover for Director Operations when required
    • Prepare NOC report and lead shift leader meetings and improvement planning
    • Interface point for other operations centres and partners achieving high levels of satisfaction
    • Lead the proactive monitoring alarm management systems for events, create, own and manage trouble tickets to successful resolution, lead supplier incident management
    • Manage incident management, troubleshooting and resolution of network issues
    • Respond to and manage escalations and notifications
    • Work with field resource management and 3rd party contractors to ensure efficient operations
    • Oversight to ensure all network tickets have correct closure data
    • Use of and ensuring data integrity of systems
    • Manage competency, develop coach and train employees, clients and contractors lead the development of training materials, undertake regular and end of year appraisals and one to one sessions
    • Oversight and approval of planned engineering works, including technical method of procedure
    • Respond to network concerns, issues, challenges escalated to NOC management

    Legal Specialist

    Job Objective

    To provide overall legal expertise and support on legal issues relating to the functions, structures and activities of the organization, support management on issues pertaining to the legal framework and monitor compliance with legal corporate governance requirements for the WIOCC Group.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Support commercial contract function in reviewing and advising on the day-to-day contracting requirements
    • Support in the implementation of the various standard and non-standard forms of contracts in accordance with the set contracting policies
    • Negotiate with external parties and assist with the finalisation and execution of provisioning contracts relating to all areas of the business
    • Support and advise on any business development initiatives, e.g., partnerships, potential network acquisition projects and corporate/asset acquisition projects; preparation and negotiation of all documentation relating to cable investment projects
    • Support all bids – review and preparation of bid documentation
    • Supporting the business functions with legal services
    • Support in the debt collection and/or litigation
    • Support on the day-to-day contract lifecycle management

    Minimum Qualification

    • Degree in Law within a common law jurisdiction.
    • Post-graduate diploma in Law or in any other field
    • At least 5 years’ experience in an in-house capacity or in practice
