    Human Resources and Legal Officer

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated person who will serve as a Human Resources and Legal Officer to join our team in Abuja. This crucial role will involve managing HR functions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and supporting the overall strategic direction of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both human resources and legal frameworks, as well as a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Provide legal advice and support on employment-related matters, including contracts, disputes, and regulatory issues.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices.
    • Conduct employee training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and workplace best practices.
    • Manage employee records and maintain accurate HR documentation.
    • Support conflict resolution and mediation efforts within the organization.
    • Collaborate with management to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, etc.) is an advantage.
    • A minimum of years of experience in human resources and legal compliance.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and regulations.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software.
