    Chief Operating Officer

    Job Summary

    The job holder is directly responsible for overseeing the company's daily business operations and administration. The duties of a COO include implementing business strategies and optimizing the organization’s operational capabilities. The job holder reports to the Chief Executive.

     Key Result Areas (KRA)

    To develop, implement and review the organization’s operational strategies in line with global best practices and the organization's business goal.

     Management & Administrative Functions

    • Participates as key member of the organization’s management team to develop and maintain a strategic plan for the controlled growth, expansion, and/or development of clinical programs and, to solve existing and anticipated organizational challenges; and formulate and revise policies that will enhance the achievement of the organization’s goals.
    • Responsible for the direct supervision of the Head of Administrations in the various branches and sets the direction for their areas of responsibility to align with the overall operational goals.
    • Monitoring and controlling the actual financial performance of the group against planned business and budgetary targets and ensuring eventual profitability of the business unit at the end of the financial year.
    • The job holder manages administrative responsibilities such as operational budget/finance management, and personnel management.
    • Negotiating Service Level Agreements (SLAs) on behalf of the clinical service function with service providers
    • Participates in the recruitment of qualified operational staff including interviewing and recommendation for hire. Monitors and assists with the new-hire orientation process to ensure consistency in training among all clinical providers.
    • Ensures operations follow all applicable regulatory and licensing agencies. Assesses all matters of compliance and provides timely recommendations for corrective action and quality improvement.
    • Provides overall direction and coordination of continuing education, training, and support for healthcare personnel.

     The Person

    • An undergraduate degree in Medicine or Administration with a Masters’ degree in Public Health or any relevant specialist area
    • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in hospital administration with at least 5 years of work experience managing a team of a minimum of medical practice experience with three (3) years of progressive work experience in administrative-management positions within a primary health care environment.
    • Current, relevant, and substantial knowledge of areas related to health sector licensing and operations including legal/regulatory, administrative, policy, protocols, and other clinical issues, especially within an established and structured hospital environment is required.
    • A demonstrated understanding and commitment to the highest level of confidentiality.
    • The job holder must have good stamina and empathy for patients.
    • The job holder must have good communication skills, a strong ability to work well under extreme pressure, and self-discipline

    Head of Administration

    Job Summary

    Oversee the daily workings of hospital operations in Warri. Plans manage, and implements schedules to ensure deadlines are met and maintains a high-quality standard of service delivery.

    Key Result Areas (KRA)

    The key result areas of this role are:

    Operations/Admin Management

    • Supports the Chief Operating Officer in the day-to-day running of operations
    • Ensure all admin-related tasks are delivered in line with set quality standards.
    • Monitor requirements, and determine & organize resources that will ensure optimal productivity in the Hospital.
    • Daily Hospital rounds to ensure the optimal functioning of the Hospital & maximum productivity of staff.
    • Analyze the current system of operation to check its effectiveness, and work out a strategy for improvement
    • Writing & submission of monthly reports on Hospital Administrative activities
    • Liaise with other team members, including interacting with managers in different areas of the organization; gathering & analyzing data as well as presenting findings to stakeholders and higher management.
    • Training and supervising new employees as well as tracking and measuring staff performance.
    • Identify training and development requirements of departmental staff/team members and ensure a succession plan is in place and executed.
    • Plan and manage change programs/initiatives. 
    • Adequately supervise reporting lines to ensure that work activities are performed as designed or by standard operational procedures.
    • Setting and reviewing budgets and managing cost
    • Coordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements in the following areas; Supply Chain, Logistics, and Asset Operations.
    • Communicates with all relevant employees to ensure delivery times are met
    • Plans, schedules, and reviews workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
    • Follow up & resolve interruptions to the workflow
    • Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed
    • And other duties assigned to you from time to time.

    The Person

    • Minimum academic qualification of a B.Sc. in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or any related degree.
    • 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience preferably in the Health sector.
    • Very knowledgeable in facility management
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Excellent, communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
    • Excellent problem-analysis, solving & project management skills

    Remuneration

    Salary in line with industry standard
