    FSL Team Leader

    Mission

    • Under the direct supervision of the Food, Security and Livelihood Manager, the FSL Team Leader will oversee setting up all activities related to FSL including needs assessments, activities’ implementation and monitoring and project evaluation.

    Responsibilities
    Setting up the activities / Control and Supervision:

    • Plan the weekly activities for his/her team and have them approved by his/her Line Manager
    • Plan human resources needs (daily workers, workers)
    • Plan tool and material needs (request from stock)
    • Anticipate administrative issues (requests in advance)
    • Anticipate logistics issues (transport, communication means)
    • Organize and carry out, with his/her team, tasks assigned by his/her Line Manager
    • Supervise and monitor each stage of activity. Ensure that standards and instructions given by his/her Line Manager, as well as Solidarités procedures, are followed
    • Respect schedules and deadlines agreed upon with his/her Line Manager
    • Report back any problems and constraints encountered during the activities and suggest operational solutions

    Logistics and Administration:

    • When recruiting daily workers, follow procedures and directives outlined by his/her Line manager and the administrative service
    • Train his/her team members to use and maintain the available tools correctly
    • Track usage with monitoring tools provided
    • Enforce safety procedures
    • Ensure that safety procedures are followed by members of his/her team
    • Monitor the quality and quantity of material delivered to working sites
    • Ensure the receipt and storage of material and equipment necessary for his/her work to be carried out on site

    Reporting / Communication:

    • Take part in weekly program meetings and clusters on request
    • Keep his/her monitoring tools and files archived in the Solidarités office, accessible to his/her line manager
    • Draw up and submit a weekly task

    Requirements

    • Studies: B.Sc. or HND in Agriculture, Agricultural Economic, Animal husbandry, Agronomy and Soil Science, Forestry or any related field.
    • Experience: 2 years’ relevant experience in similar position with other INGO
    • Language: English, Hausa mandatory and one of the local dialects is an added advantage.
    • IT: Good knowledge of MS Office Word, PowerPoint and advance MS Office Excel Knowledge
    • Interpersonal skills: Interpersonal skills, reliable, honest, accountable, resistance to stress, team player, good prioritization of task, Management skills, Planning skills, flexibility to meet deadlines.

    Logistics Assistant

    Mission

    • The logistics assistant supports the logistician in implementing and supervising all logistical activities at his/her assigned base.
    • In particular, he/she lends support to carrying out urgent activities and the filing and archiving of logistical documents.
    • He/she temporarily takes on the basic tasks of the logistics Manager in their absence.

    Description
    Management of supplies:

    • Update price lists and vendor databases
    • Control Solidarités International purchase procedures
    • Verify and process quote requests and IOFs.
    • Compose and archive purchase folders.
    • Implement purchases, monitoring adherence to validation regulations and procedures.
    • Negotiate prices, deadlines and methods of delivery.
    • Ensure that relationships with suppliers are monitored.

    Management of vehicle fleet:

    • Assist in the planning and execution of maintenance and repair work on mission vehicles.
    • Draw up the vehicle schedule.
    • Ensure that a complete breakdown kit is available on board all vehicles.
    • Check that vehicle log books are in place and are used correctly
    • Assist in monitoring and consolidating fuel consumption and miles travelled for all vehicles.
    • Prevent misappropriation of petrol and spare parts
    • Monitor the administrative documents for all vehicles.

    Management of equipment / telecommunications:

    • Assist in installing and securing materials
    • Assist in monitoring and maintaining materials
    • Organize training sessions in the use of means of communication

    Management and monitoring of IT equipment:

    • Update antivirus software
    • Provide teams with adequate means for data backup
    • Ensure the maintenance and correct use of IT equipment

    Management of supplies:

    • Supervise the maintenance and securing of warehouses
    • Support the logistics officer in carrying out stock checks and physical inventories

    Human resource management:

    • Assist in the recruitment process and in evaluating the members of the logistical team.
    • Establish team schedules in conjunction with the logistics officer.
    • Ensure or assist with logistical training.

    Requirements
    Profile:

    • Studies: B.Sc / HND or equivalent in relevant field
    • Experience: 2 years’ relevant experience in similar position with other INGO
    • Language: English, Hausa mandatory and one of the local dialects is an added advantage.
    • IT: Good knowledge of MS Office Word, PowerPoint and advanced MS Office Excel Knowledge, radio and security equipment user-knowledge
    • Qualification: Result in quality orientation, teamwork and preparation, behavioral flexibility, commitment to SI Principles, Service Orientation, Space Management.

    MEAL Team Leader

    Job Description

    • The MEAL TL is the focal point for collection and documentation of monitoring and evaluation information. He/she supports the programme teams through monitoring, data collection, data processing, mapping and analysis of the information.
    • He/she provides technical support and training to the field staffs in charge of data management and monitoring, participates to the roll out of the accountability framework and contributes to internal knowledge building.
    • He/she ensures recommendations and SI procedures are respected.
    • He/she coordinates a team of monitoring agents for data collection, context monitoring and do no harm analysis..

    Responsibilities
    Monitoring and evaluation:

    • Contribute to the revision of monitoring and evaluation tools and train program team on design and proper use of it.
    • Centralize / follow-up creation and update of monitoring plans.
    • Participate in the revision of monthly APU.
    • Participate in data analysis and writing of monitoring and evaluation reports.
    • Participate to the follow-up of recommendations.
    • Ensure team weekly planning and follow up.
    • Respect schedules and deadlines agreed upon with his/her Manager.
    • Report back any problems and constraints encountered during the course of the activities and suggest operational solutions.

    Accountability:

    • Contribute to the CRM standard operating procedures design.
    • Follow proper implementation of CRM standard operating procedures and refer all cases to the appropriate focal point.
    • Participate in training field teams on CRM information plan.

    Data management and mapping:

    • In relationship with teams in charge of database management on the bases, centralize and organize all data on program.
    • Support program team regarding the preparation of database frames based on questionnaires and other data collection tools.
    • Provide methodological support to the programme teams to ensure timely and high-quality data entry and processing.
    • Provide project related figures and monitoring follow up as requested by coordination.
    • Maintain a library of maps produced by SI as well as other stakeholders.

    Institutional Knowledge Building:

    • Follow up on the Internal Knowledge Building plan and provide data for IKB documents (activity forms etc.).

    Human Resources management:

    • Participate in validating recruitment of his team.
    • Welcome and brief new employees working under his/her responsibility.
    • Manage and support the team under his/her responsibility.
    • Train his/her team members to use and maintain the available tools correctly.
    • Evaluate the performances of his/her team members.
    • When recruiting daily workers, follow procedures and directives outlined by his/her line manager and the administrative service.

    • Represent SI when asked to do so.
    • Listen to the populations and local participants in the field and report to his/her manager any non-technical or safety-related issues which could affect the activities or safety of Solidarités International teams.
    • Support the coordination and program team in the preparation of visual support needed for presentation materials.
    • Participate to reinforce understanding of SI fields of action, principles and modus operandi by the program teams and populations.
    • Ensure that tools and files are properly archived and secured.
    • Participate in learning workshops.

    Requirements

    • Experience: 2 years’ relevant experience in similar position with other INGO
