    Associate Director - Pharmacy & Supply Chain Management (PSM)

    Job Description

    • The Associate Director – Pharmacy & Supply Chain Management will be a key member of the senior management team and will provide strategic direction for the implementation of various health interventions including pharmaceutical care and logistic pipeline management.
    • H/She will oversee a pharmaceutical and logistic team of managers providing technical support in capacity building, pharmaceutical care service delivery for PLHIV on HAART and adjutant drugs at the HQ to supported facilities providing HIV/AIDS care and treatment services that are consistent with the national HIV/AIDS plan in Nigeria.
    • Work with pharmaceutical and logistic team to analyze, report and provide direction on patient per regime.
    • Support pharmaceutical care for differentiated care model, patient monitoring-ADR, Treatment failure management and regime sequencing.
    • Design and coordinate the implementation of pharmacy best practices across all ECEWS supported sites.
    • Ensure the development, dissemination and application of appropriate pharmaceutical services SOPs and training curriculum across supported sites.
    • Assist the store’s department in implementing SOPs for the warehouse in line with Good Pharmaceutical Storage Practices.
    • Monitor the efficient ordering and Last Mile Distribution (LMD) of commodities from the National Central Procurement & Distribution system and provide feedback as necessary.
    • Assist in planning, monitoring, and tracking the timely and correct quantification, purchase requests, storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals and other commodities.
    • Tracking, monitoring, and inventory analysis of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spread sheets and databases.
    • Monitor and review pharmaceutical care performance and identify associated potential problems and activities across states and proffer immediate and long-term solutions.
    • Support the implementation of a pharmaceutical care for differentiated care model, patient monitoring-ADR, Treatment failure management and regime sequencing.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS, MB.BCh or MD PLUS Masters in Public Health (MPH) or PhD, DrPH or similar post- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and advanced degree in Public Health or Social Science will be an added advantage.
    • At least Ten (10) years post NYSC experience of running/implementing public health programs preferably in the NGO context.
    • Knowledge and experience in the design, implementation, and management of pharmaceutical and logistic best practices in HIV/AIDS program or any other public health intervention program
    • One to three (3-5) years of leadership experience (e.g. projects, teams, initiative) and influencing teams.
    • Thorough understanding (based on experience) of Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety in the HIV program.
    • Registration with the relevant Pharmacy regulatory bodies in Nigeria.
    • Must have knowledge of and experience with HIV care and treatment medication.
    • Must have previous experience working in a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting.
    • Proven experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance.

    Senior Technical Advisor - AP3 Program

    Job Description

    • Will be responsible for providing technical coordination and support to all HIV-related prevention, care and treatment activities for children, pregnant and breastfeeding women including viral load scale-up as well as viral suppression strategies, treatment optimization and monitoring/management of treatment failure.
    • Provide thought leadership and help lead strategy development for pediatric HIV and PMTCT, continually identifying new opportunities for ACE-5 to add value and maximize impact.
    • Support state-level implementation of a high degree of integration, collaboration and communication among PMTCT, Pediatrics and OVC programs to rapidly close the pediatric treatment gap.
    • Support the generation, transmission and triangulation of paediatrics, Adolescent, PMTCT and OVC-related data across program areas.
    • Support the state teams and SASCP to establish and operate the PMTCT/Pediatric Surge Incident Command System.
    • Support pediatric HIV and PMTCT work plan operations, collaborating closely with other thematic leads and program units.
    • Build the capacity of the State technical teams and HCWs to scale up community PMTCT services using the hub and spoke approach in line with PEPFAR’s AP3 and other innovative strategies.
    • Support the use of QI initiatives to address pediatric and PMTCT implementation performance gaps and quality of pediatric and PMTCT care at facility and community levels.
    • Liaise with the State Ministry of Health officials and other stakeholders in coordinating Pediatric HIV care and treatment and PMTCT programming through technical working groups, review meetings and conferences in line with approved work plans.
    • Will be responsible for rolling out differentiated service delivery models, PMTCT and pediatric care SOPs as per the national and international standards, monitoring and documenting best practices and participating in relevant technical working group meetings.
    • Support quality implementation of pediatric DSD models including family-centered groups (CARG), mother-baby pair (MBP) clinics and pediatric-specific clinics.
    • Coordinate strategies for early infant diagnosis, infant prophylaxis, and prompt ART for positive infants.
    • Participate in the development of strategic tools (SOPs, TORs, package of care) to guide pediatric and PMTCT programming.
    • Routinely attend and provide appropriate technical leadership in program meetings, executing resolutions within her/his purview as appropriate.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • MB.BS, MB.BCh or MD PLUS Master's in Public Health (MPH) or PhD, DrPH or similar post-graduate Degree (in Epidemiology, public health or related fields).
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of large-scale HIV-related programs in resource-limited settings, with at least 1 year in a program leadership position with responsibility for PEPFAR performance objectives
    • Demonstrated technical expertise in HIV care and treatment, and excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature in HIV treatment.
    • Prior experience in training, mentoring, and supervision of multicultural facility and community-based clinical and program teams (including institutionalization of relevant review meetings at the service delivery level).
    • Proven experience in establishing and building working relationships and collaborating with relevant stakeholders (SMOHs, HMBs, SPHCDAs, SACA, allied ministries, departments, and agencies as well as non-governmental sectors) for technical success and visibility of PEPFAR programs.

    Senior Strategic Information Advisor - OVC/NOMIS

    Job Description

    • The position holder will support ECEWS CDC OVC-SPEED Project partners in the development and implementation of data collection systems, ensure data quality, and accurate reporting in a timely manner.
    • The Officer will support in coordination, management, and dissemination of strategic information; and is responsible for the following activities:
    • Will support state level implementation of the OVC project in the state of assignment with displayed capacities in building acceptable documentation, reporting, and learning systems.
    • S/he will lead the monitoring of data collection, collation, storage, analysis, and reporting ensuring that data is audit worthy and incorporated into program reports for submission to CDC.
    • Under his/her guidance, the project at the state level will utilize monitoring data to maximize program impact.
    • The successful candidates will ensure efficient use of available resources towards achieving defined M&E goals.
    • S/he will ensure adherence to structured principles during implementation of M&E field activities and provide required program statistics within expected timelines to inform project planning and delivery.

    Clinical Services Officer

    Responsibilities

    • This position will support the Team Lead – Clinical Services in the management of malaria control and elimination activities through the provision of clinical services in the intervention states.
    • Support in the coordination of the clinical program activities.
    • Work with health care providers, local authorities, community members, and project team members to identify community-based service delivery issues that impede access to care and uptake of services.
    • Support in identifying and implementing appropriate facility and community-based strategies to address service delivery gaps.

    Job Description

    • The Incumbent will provide leadership in all laboratories supported by ECEWS focusing on HIV, TB, malaria and other infectious diseases.
    • Provide technical expertise and coordinate services needed to implement high quality clinical laboratory services.
    • Develop long range business plans and implement growth strategies, analyze and manage financial performance and coordination of all laboratory services to ensure optimal synergies of service and quality.
    • Coordinate the design, planning and implementation of laboratory services according to national and international standards ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Develop guidelines, tools, SOPs and recommendations related to implementation, and monitoring laboratory total quality management in high technology laboratories.

    Clinical Services Associate - Adult ART & HIV/TB

    Job Description 

    • The incumbent will provide support in developing and managing health programs that maximize development results and impact.
    • The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of HIV/AIDS treatment and other health sector programs in Nigeria.

    Technical Assistant - PCT

    Responsibilities

    • The Technical Assistant - PCT will collaborate with the Senior Technical Officer-PCT in assisting to provide technical support for multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS care and treatment, working with organization clinicians and health facility-based site teams to implement care and antiretroviral treatment services.
