    Miscellaneous Officer - Technical

    Main Functions

    • Miscellaneous job title that cannot be mapped to any standard job title within the Global Taxonomy.
    • Use of this job title requires prior endorsement by EMCS (ExxonMobil Contractor Services) Global Taxonomy owner.

    Job Desription

    • Maintain an efficient fire or deck watch as required.
    • Ensure all decks and store rooms are maintained in a safe secure and clean condition at all times.
    • Ensure the cleanliness and work areas and that all work is performed and all equipment operated in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Assist in the first line maintenance and inspection of lifting appliances, cranes, running gear, slings, shackles etc.
    • Assist with lifting operations acting as banks man as required
    • Assist with cargo handling operations including operation of forklifts
    • Role of HDA in helicopter operations and refuelling operations as required.
    • Assist in bulk liquid transfer between supply vessels and surfer.
    • Assist in the mooring and unmooring of offtake tankers.
    • Assist with workboat operations. Support first line maintenance and inspections of the SBM buoy and equipment.
    • To assist in all marine jobs including tank cleaning, tank washing, Confined space entry as directed by Deck Foreman.

    Environmental Scientist III

    Job Summary

    • Provide guidance and advice on Technical, Operational, and Safety, Security, Health and Environmental (SSH&E) aspects of environmental data collection during field operations. Collection and analysis of environmental samples and data. In addition, the personnel will be required to act as Marine Mammal Observers (MMO) or Protected Species Observers (PSO) during the seismic operation.
    • An MMO/PSO shall be the individual who keeps watch for mammals during seismic operations.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Will provide mentoring and technical guidance to lower-level personnel and have the skills and qualifications below.
    • Serve as the environmental expert for the Business Line.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Previous experience in a closely related position; ExxonMobil experience preferred
    • Must have exceptional technical skills to monitor and advise on technical aspects of data acquisition, sample preservation, processing, interpretation, classification and reporting; including; logistics, operations, instrumentation, equipment, recording, and positioning
    • Must be well-versed in SSH&E practices and processes for field operations
    • Must have strong knowledge of sampling and preservation of water column, surficial and near surficial sediments for environmental, geochemical or geological/geotechnical purposes
    • Must be trained at observing and identifying marine mammals or in compliance with the most recent Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) guidelines (or other standards defined for the area of operations).
    • Must have excellent communication skills, possess a high level of integrity, and willingness to build trust and accountability in inter-personal relationships while working in a team setting
    • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
    • Must be proficient in current communication mediums and technologies (i.e., Microsoft Office, telecommunications, email, meetings)
    • Must be in good physical condition and shall comply with all project health and safety requirements (including any vendor, vessel or country-specific certifications required to work offshore)
    • Must comply with requirements per the agreement.
    • Certifications must be current and not due to expire for the anticipated duration of the project

    Additional Information:

    • The environmental scientist must be trained and experienced in the use of JNCC guidelines, and qualified to observe and report on the activity of cetaceans and endangered species in seismic survey areas.
    • The personnel must have experience in marine mammal observations on marine seismic crews.

    Quality Manager II

    Main Functions

    • Provide Quality discipline input to the Project Organization Plan and manage staffing of Quality personnel for the Project Team (PT)
    • Develop quality plans, programs, procedures and tools to manage quality across project
    • Interface with other disciplines and provide Quality input to project plans
    • Manage the oversight of Contractors’ quality-related activities and deliverables
    • Act as Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC) while none is assigned to project
    • Provide direction, guidance and resources to QACs
    • Provide advice to Project Management on quality issues and support effort to resolve them
    • Provide feedback on quality-related issues and metrics to the Project Quality function

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Promote Quality awareness throughout the project
    • Prepare and maintain Project Quality Plan, Surveillance Programs and other quality procedures and tools and ensure their successful implementation across the project
    • Interface and coordinate work activities between Quality and other disciplines
    • Ensure project-specific indoctrination and general training for Quality personnel is conducted and provide quality-related training for PT as required
    • Provide direction, guidance and resources to QACs
    • Provide oversight of Contractors’ implementation of their Quality program and compliance with project requirements:
    • Ensure appropriate quality and quantity of Contractor's Quality staff assigned to the project
    • Confirm adequacy of Contractors’ plans, procedures, processes and documents
    • Ensure appropriate PT review and approval of Contractor’s and Suppliers’ quality deliverables (e.g., plans, Criticality Ratings, Inspection and Test Plans)
    • Ensure appropriate PT and functional review of deviations to equipment and materials
    • Ensure audits of Contractors, Suppliers and PT are scheduled and conducted; lead PT audits and participate in Contractor audits as appropriate
    • Steward audit findings to resolution and closure in a timely manner
    • Coordinate Quality management activities to ensure consistency, effectiveness across the Project
    • Maintain ongoing communication with Quality Coordinators (i.e., QACs, PQCs, SQCs)
    • Manage resolution of quality issues and monitor quality performance
    • Coordinate and report Project quality metrics to PT and Project Quality function
    • Interface with Start-up / Operations to ensure clear understanding of project quality and participate in turnover as appropriate
    • Maintain interface communication with Project Quality function and support functional initiatives and tool building efforts as needed.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Experience executing project construction or quality assurance/control of engineering, procurement, and construction activities
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
    • 7 - 10 years experience in responsible roles in Quality Management and coordination of quality surveillance / inspection activities for projects in the Oil and Gas Industry
    • Experience as a Project Quality Manager or equivalent experience in management of project quality systems for the Oil and Gas Industry
    • Must be proficient in common PC software (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
    • Read, write and speak fluent English
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to travel internationally.
