    Structural Design Intern

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with Structural Analysis: Utilize software tools to assist in the analysis and design of structural components and systems.
    • Drafting and Modelling: Create detailed drawings, models, and schematics of structural elements under the guidance of senior engineers.
    • Support Project Documentation: Aid in the preparation of project documentation, including technical reports, calculations, and construction drawings.
    • Research and Development: Conduct research on emerging technologies, materials, and construction techniques relevant to structural engineering projects.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate project tasks, share insights, and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
    • Learn and Adapt: Proactively seek opportunities to learn from experienced engineers, ask questions, and adapt to new challenges and tasks.

    Requirements:

    • Bsc. Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, including statics, mechanics of materials, and structural analysis.
    • Proficiency in CAD software and structural analysis tools.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.

    Project Engineer

    Responsibilities:

    • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, encompassing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with client expectations and architectural design specifications.
    • Team Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, ensuring seamless communication and effective project execution.
    • Construction Oversight: Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to architectural plans, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
    • Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the construction phase.
    • Budget Monitoring: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, making informed decisions to optimize project profitability and resource allocation.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and proactively implement strategies to mitigate challenges, ensuring successful project delivery.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards in Nigeria.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold quality control processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality construction projects in line with architectural standards.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry
    • Prior experience in an architectural firm is an added advantage 
    • Strong knowledge of architectural design principles and construction best practices.
    • Proficient in project management software and other relevant tools.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
