    Legal / Compliance Manager

    Job Brief

    • We are seeking to employ Legal/Compliance Manager as Head of Legal/Compliance Unit for our Lagos Office.
    • Candidates will be responsible for Legal/Compliance for the whole of the Company Nationwide and should be from FMCG or manufacturing concern.

    Job Description

    • Versed in Labour Law and legal requirements in Nigeria.
    • Review all financial information relating to properties.
    • Ensure loans are effectively recovered.
    • Process complex legal documents.
    • Advise the executives and employees on changes to the laws affecting the company.
    • Oversee lawsuits, possibly acting as chief litigator.
    • Ensure there exist a register of all legal documents in respect of the company’s identity such as the CAC documents, MEMART…etc
    • Keep all Agreements and security documents tendered as collateral are registered, enveloped, and identified.
    • Ensure the legal department maintains records of all Board meetings and are duly signed by authorized executives.
    • Ensure that notices of AGM and Board meetings are dispatched in a timely manner.
    • Ensure that all litigation files are registered, and status reports are rendered monthly.
    • Dealing with community relations, Government issues, etc
    • Ensure there is smooth industrial relations in the organization and smooth community relations both in Lagos and outside Lagos including attending to government related issues at any point in time. Change in policies must quickly be attended to.
    • Any other jobs as may be assigned by the Group Managing Director/CEO

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law
    • Must have 3 - 4 years post-qualification work experience in a manufacturing setting, Food or Beverage company at supervisory capacity is Mandatory.

    Salary: N700,000 / Month apart from other benefits. Could go up based on experience

    HR Officer / Supervisor

    Job Description

    • Receive the request for new manpower from different factories and process it for approval. After approval, do the needful to receive new resumes and shortlist candidates for interviews, and arrange the interview of shortlisted candidates with concerned Managers/HODs. Do necessary preparation like medical, Verification for newly selected candidates. Preparation of offer letters for selected candidates and processing it for approval /signing.
    • Do proper induction of newly joined persons with specific induction plan, do needful to support new employers to get settled in the food system.
    • Receive the resignation letters from staff, who are willing to leave the company, do proper exit of employee(s) as per company rules & regulations
    • Work with different Managers and follow the Company rules & regulations, Company’s code of conduct.
    • Receive the breach of discipline from different Managers;
    • Resolve the grievance of employees by working with HR Manager and the concerned Departmental Manager as per company policy.
    • Cross-check /Verify, daily/weekly -the attendance of employees for each month, work with HR Manager to process the payroll of employees.
    • Receive the leave applications and process it by working with HR Manager & concern department Manager
    • Do the working for leave allowance calculation on a monthly basis
    • Do the work with Departmental Manager for monthly performance money and best staff from each factory /department and do needful to process it to the finance department
    • HMO- Keep a proper record of each employee.

    Educational Qualification

    • BSc / HND

    Experience:

    • 1-4 Years
    • Strong moral and ethical code.
    • Exceptional administrative skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft packages( Excel, Ms Word and PowerPoint)

    Other Requirements:

    • For you to qualify, you MUST be working with an FMCG or a manufacturing company(Mandatory);
    • You must be good in the job description and be an HR Assistant or Officer or Executive as of Now.
    • Candidate must be resident in Abuja.
