    NGO Coordinators

    Job Type: Full Time

    Job Position: NGo Coordinators 

    Location: Ibadan

    Job Brief 

    We are hiring NGO Coordinators to support the development of strategies and programmes regarding the upliftment of the civil society, ensuring good relations with government bodies and other policy influencing organizations. They should be able to conduct workshops and create awareness among the communities for sustainable use of natural resources, respect for cultural diversity and human rights.

    Responsibilities

    • Scheduling meetings with local NGOs, arranging conference calls, making travel arrangements, planning and organizing workshops to identify their needs for development and training.
    • Creating new sets of administrative procedures if required as per the rules, regulations of the Government bodies and ensuring effective information flow.
    • Help the Volunteers in designing ideas, effective tools for fund-raising and providing assistance.
    • Motivate other NGOs, community welfare workers in the case of non-availability during natural disasters like flood, tornadoes, etc.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Basic financial management skills.
    • Excellent management and communications skills, strong interpersonal skills to ensure internal coherence among diverse team members.
    • Effective diplomacy and outreach skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships with local governments, local and regional stakeholders, donors and the international community (including other donor funded programs).
    • Proven ability to coordinate a multisectoral development project.
    • Excellent community mobilization, advocacy and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently, effective in time management skills and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to organize systems to monitor administrative and implementation results.
    • Report to supervisor on variances and status on regular basis.
    • Work independently with initiative to manage high volume work flow.
    • Perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy.
    • Interact with diplomacy and tact and follow-up on requests in timely and efficient manner.
    • Use computer to accurately and rapidly enter and retrieve data and information.
    • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work as a team member.
    • Ability to plan and prioritize own work under tight deadlines, as well as to work on own initiative and as a member of a team.
    • Ability to travel a minimum of 25%.

    Qualifications and requirements:

    • BSc/BA in development studies or its recognized equivalent with 2– 3years’ experience in managing and implementing programs
    • Demonstrated significant and recent experience in a leadership role on a funded activity is required.

    Accountants

    Job Brief
    We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
    • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
    • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
    • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
    • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
    • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
    • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
    • Assist with other accounting projects

    Requirements

    • BSc/HND in Accounting
    • Excellent organizing abilities
    • Great attention to detail
    • Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
    • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software 
    • Applicants must be resident in Ibadan.
