    Project Manager (Mechanical)

    Job Summary

    • The Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver the project(s) that span across one or more business units.
    • Manage resources, schedules and adhere to company’s control guidelines throughout the project life cycle.
    • This also includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to

    • Provide onsite leadership for the team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and meeting project milestones
    • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
    • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned with and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
    • Prepare estimates and a detailed project plan for all phases of the project and procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives within the planned timeframes.
    • Monitor staff performance, complete performance reviews, and train team members.
    • Manage project scope and changes.
    • Act as an internal quality control check for the project.
    • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including the project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
    • Timely submission and approvals for timely procurement in line with the project specification
    • Timely valuation for claims
    • Timely project closure with proper documentation and sign-off Other duties, as assigned Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
    • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff and workers. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • BTech / BEng or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
    • Minimum of 10 years post NYSC experience in managing MEP projects inclusive of 5 years’ experience on same role
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
    • Must be a registered member of COREN.

    Project Engineer - Mechanical

    Responsibilities

    • Provide Mechanical and Electrical inspection, troubleshooting and evaluation of installation works.
    • Coordinate project mobilization process.
    • Run the finances of the Project through the instruction of the Project Manager/Project Director
    • Coordinate all technical issues within and around the Project
    • Read design specifications and technical drawings prepared by other contractors
    • Represent the company on all meetings and requests by the client
    • Prepare working and As-Built Drawings for projects engaged by the company.
    • Manage and maintain client relationships and communicate with clients to explain proposals, present research findings, establish specifications or discuss project status.
    • implement assigned projects according to laid down specifications or standards
    • Provide analytical and problem-solving support, employing engineering skills in support of business and quality improvement processes.
    • Assist in the preparation of handover documentation (Operation and maintenance Manuals)
    • Motivate and train staff as the need arises.
    • Provide management and leadership.
    • Make presentation at professional meetings.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • B.Tech / BENG or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
    • Minimum of 5 years post NYSC relevant experience in building services engineering
    • Candidate must have previous experience in site management.
