    Senior Buyer

    Description

    • Establish strong partnerships and educate stakeholders on procurement best practices in order to deliver departmental objectives;
    • Supervises and contributes to the preparation of departmental reports and activities.
    • Reviews requisitions and specifications to obtain competitive quotations from vendors.
    • Establishes working relationships with vendors through personal meetings and telephone contact; discusses and resolves problems regarding delayed delivery dates; returns damaged or incorrect items to vendors and processes necessary documents for credit.
    • Partner with associated internal groups to identify and develop alternate/additional supply sources, assess financial stability, quality, and capabilities of potential vendors.
    • Negotiate Agreement Terms and Conditions and work with clients to ensure appropriate contract approvals are obtained and documented.
    • Proficiency to perform and comprehend price analyses, source selection/justification, investigate incorrect or late orders and initiates corrective action or recommendations for action.
    • Support in the assessment of a supplier’s capacity and ability to meet quality standards, specifications, and delivery schedules.
    • Supplier Management – Ensure That Suppliers Are Being Evaluated On Their Performance And When Required They Are Committed To And Making Improvements.
    • Develop and execute sourcing plans, subcontract management plans.
    • Ability to place a PO of medium to high complexity and process a high volume of POs across various business units
    • Must be proficient in the use of SAP MM Module and Microsoft Office Suite

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree - Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contract Administration, or similar discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Head, HSE - DCT Ibese

    Job Summary

    We are currently seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Head of HSE to join our team. As the Head of HSE, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment throughout the company.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's health, safety, and environmental programs, including risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations, safety pep talks, and training for drivers to reduce accidents, as well as occupational health activities.
    • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations regarding transportation and workplace safety.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health, safety, and environmental programs and recommend improvements as necessary.
    • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on general health, safety, and environmental matters.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
    • Overseeing and implementing the elements of Logistics Crash Management process including coordination of reporting, investigation, documentation, and management of incidents.
    • Ensure accountability for preventable of trucks accidents.
    • Produce a comprehensive and accurate monthly report with relevant metrics for management review.
    • Develop monthly scorecards that encompass national tactics and activities.
    • Create training materials and conduct sessions for drivers to implement the Transportation Safety Management System (TSMS).
    • Ensure compliance of periodic DCT drug and alcohol program with regulatory requirements on truck drivers
    • Keep up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure continued compliance and improvement of health, safety, and environmental programs.
    • Collaborate with other departments to integrate health, safety, and environmental considerations into all aspects of the company's operations.

    Qualifications and Work Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in any Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a similar HSE role within the logistics or transportation industry, particularly involving trucks and drivers.
    • Professional qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, IRCA ISO45001:2018) is an added advantage

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
    • Demonstrated experience in Transport Management and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and programs.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Knowledge of ISO standards and management systems.
    • Good knowledge/ experience in Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and Control.
    • In-depth knowledge of Fire Safety Management.
    • Good understanding of the PTW system and RCA.

    Personal Assistant to Senior Executive (Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc.)

    Job Summary

    In this role as a Personal Assistant to the Senior Executive at Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc., you will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Senior Executive in a professional and confidential manner.

    You will manage the Senior Executive's calendar, coordinate meetings and travel arrangements, handle correspondence, and assist in preparing reports and presentations. Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the Senior Executive's office.

    As a Personal Assistant, you will also be expected to maintain a strong level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Calendar Management: Manage the Executive Director's calendar by scheduling meetings, appointments, and events, prioritizing commitments, and ensuring the schedule is optimized for productivity and efficiency.
    • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications directed to the Executive Director. Screen and prioritize emails, phone calls, and other correspondence, responding on behalf of the Executive Director when necessary.
    • Meeting Coordination: Arrange and coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements for the Executive Director. Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, and necessary materials, and ensure all logistics are organized.
    • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director, including drafting and proofreading documents, preparing reports, handling expense reports, and maintaining accurate records and files.
    • Project Assistance: Assist in managing projects and initiatives led by the Operations department, coordinating with team members, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Information Management: Organize and maintain information and documents related to operations, ensuring easy access and retrieval as needed.
    • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients/customers.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or similar role supporting senior executives
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
    • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
