    Senior Manager, Business Operations - Global Expansion & Payment Partnerships (GEPP)

    The Role: 

    • The Senior Manager, Business Operations within the Global Expansion & Payment Partnerships (GEPP) team at Flutterwave will lead the Business Operations unit. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the GEPP team by streamlining day-to-day activities, enhancing operational effectiveness, and driving strategic initiatives.
    • The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, project management, and the coordination of essential team tasks to support Flutterwave's global expansion and partnership goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operational Management: Develop and implement operating procedures for the GEPP team to ensure consistency and efficiency in daily operations.
    • Team Coordination: Oversee the coordination of team activities, including the scheduling and management of GEPP review sessions, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
    • Project Management: Lead and manage cross-functional projects within the GEPP team, from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Budgeting & Reporting: Coordinate the budgeting process for the GEPP team, monitor financial performance, and prepare regular reports to track progress against objectives.
    • Team Reporting: Coordinate various reporting such as weekly or monthly activity reporting & board reporting for the team
    • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the GEPP team’s operations and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
    • Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that support Flutterwave’s expansion and partnership goals.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding GEPP team operations, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the GEPP team.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 10+ years in payments either at a Financial Institution or Fintech Gravitas and strong presentation skills
    • Strong C-level executive relationships with customers and industry thought leaders
    • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms
    • Bureau/CUP-China Union Pay/UPI-Unified Payments Interface acquiring implementations or 3rd Party Acquiring partnerships commercials and implementation desired.
    • Experience or strong understanding of Regulatory frameworks and application process for Payment licenses.
    • Expertise in payments, financial services and / or local payment method
    • Excellent project management skills (Project management certification is plus)
    • Fluent in English
    • Authorization to work in Nigeria without sponsorship

    Analyst, Global Expansion & Payment Partnerships (GEPP)

    The Role: 

    • Flutterwave is looking for an Analyst, Global Expansion & Payment Partnerships who will activate and manage projects to enable new payment types on Flutterwave Infrastructure.
    • You will also analyze data to determine optimal transaction routing strategy across service lines, including implementing add-on services that can improve the product, customer experience, or revenue, act as the frontline for all partner issues and subsequent resolution, and build and maintain relationships with all relevant Flutterwave partners.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Develop full-scale project plans and collaborate with Stakeholders (i.e. Engineering Team, Treasury team, Product Team) to track performance and progress as well as associated communication documents using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
    • Apply appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
    • Effectively communicate project expectations to stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
    • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
    • Develop effective strategies to remedy variances from project plans, and minimize impacts
    • Manage transitions between project stages and ensure that changes are consistent with organizational goals
    • Determine criteria and use data to evaluate partner service delivery in order to determine optimal transaction routing strategy
    • Build and Manage relationships with partners beyond project implementations
    • Ensure frequent meetings with partners to support integrations
    • Periodic monitoring and reporting of partner’s transactional activities
    • Any other duties assigned

    Required competency and skill set to be a waver

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Project Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in a Project or Product Management role
    • Project Management Certification
    • Good understanding of business expansion
    • Ability to effectively use project management tools in analyzing, translating, and presenting data and information
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Well-developed problem-solving skills.
    • Extremely organized and detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through skills
    • Ability to multitask in a fast pace environment; can adapt quickly to change; have strong negotiations skills

    Manager, Business Development

    The role: 

    • Flutterwave is looking to fill a Manager, Business Development role.
    • This role will be primarily responsible for sales of the company’s products covering various industries and sectors in Nigeria, with the key objectives to drive merchant onboarding and revenue growth.

    What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be Like

    • Meet and/or exceed sales quotas by engaging with prospects and setting up high quality meetings that lead to quality pipeline and revenue
    • Utilise lead generation tools available for outreach to source leads via outbound prospecting
    • Make contact with potential new customers across a variety of channels - phone, email, social, chat
    • Initiating the salesforce cycle right from lead generation to transacting customers
    • Ensure effective management of relationships with key merchants (enterprise businesses)
    • Develop and maintain a robust and enterprise focused pipeline deals in CRM (Freshsales)
    • Ensure that customer complaints are investigated and promptly resolved across all channels
    • Review sales performance against set budgets on a periodic basis and recommend action plans for improvement
    • Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly sales reports for management's review
    • Act on behalf of; and perform any other duties that may be assigned by management
    • Maintain expert knowledge in the use cases and benefits of Flutterwave’s offerings and how they impact each user in an organisation
    • Support in creation of sales messaging, follow up, and presentations to customer and prospect accounts
    • Develop creative ways and ideas for reaching and engaging with prospect personas

    Required competency and skill set to be a waver (in this role)

    • Bachelors degree in a Sales / Business Development related field
    • 7+ years of business development experience specializing one or more sector
    • Proven experience in sales across banking, fintech, financial service is highly preferred
    • Deep understanding of sales systems to support successful sales delivery
    • Curiosity, a can-do attitude and willingness to continually learn
    • Efficient multi-tasker and ability to work & deliver under pressure
    • Proficiency in CRM tools including Freshsales
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
    • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
    • Excellent people and relationship management skills, including leading a team
    • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and can easily
    • Ability to adapt to new and challenging projects
    • Ability to influence others and create a sense of urgency for your cause
