    Retail Manager

    Main Function

    • Supervises the daily running of retail outlets, maintaining equipment’s, ensuring adequate stock, reconciling both stock, position as well as cash lodgment.
    • Nurturing relations with customers, partners, regulators and other stakeholders towards the creation of long-term value for the company.
    • To organize efficient implementation of Retail business policies and operations, coordinate staff to give customers good quality service and experience whilst monitoring costs and optimizing performance.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensures daily reconciliation of stock as well as sales proceeds.
    • Liaises with HR for the recruitment, training, and motivation of retail staff to ensure development of a quality and competent workforce with strong customer service orientation.
    • Manages retail expenditures to ensure that expenses are in line with budgetary provisions while providing insight on the profitability of various businesses within the division.Ensure a realization of ultimate customer satisfaction through propagating, receiving customer queries, handling complaints and providing after sales support.
    • Ensures that retail staff understand their roles and responsibilities while setting and monitoring targets for the department.
    • Deploys marketing strategies to enable customer retention and expansion including promotions and advertising. Workshops, loyalty programs amongst others.
    • Ensures compliance of retail outlets with regulatory guidelines and obtainment of relevant licenses and approvals.
    • Manages all sales channels for maximum benefit and returns to the company. These include direct sales, retainership, lubricants, gas sales, ventures amongst others.
    • Supervises equipment maintenance, ensuring seamless operation, including generators, dispensers, electrical installations, and power sources.
    • Supervises technology for effective operations ensuring key reports are retrieved for decision making. These include ERPs, Fore count controllers, ATGs, business analytics tools amongst others.
    • Enforces safety and security procedures across all facilities in line with company HSE and security policy.
    • Keeps all statistical and financial records including associated source documents for easy use.

    Marketing & Business Development Manager

    Main Functions

    • Identify new opportunities, seek partnerships and designs strategies to penetrate new markets. While promoting customer satisfaction and improving operational efficiency.
    • Develops and implements dynamic sales strategies, in consultation with the sales team, to enhance turnover, ensure profitability, and develop, protect and expand market shares.
    • To continually assess the efficiency of our sales operations, providing insight into areas that require strengthening to cope with market evolution as well as developing a framework of appropriate response from the company.
    • Develop partnerships that enhance the company's ability to fully utilize existing business opportunities and profile new ones.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinates tenders and bids on behalf of the company, while ensuring that the company meets the requirements for qualification including registration with key govt agencies such as NMDPRA, NUPRC, NCDMB, NIFEX, NNPC, NSITF, ITF, NIMASA, amongst others.
    • Implement processes aimed at developing growth opportunities for the company including accessing new markets, partners, clients and developing new products.
    • Writing business plans and proposals aimed at highlighting opportunities in target markets and outlining strategies to take advantage of those opportunities.
    • Analyzing market trends, researching competition, scheduling market assessments and discovery meetings with sales team and report findings to business units for development of appropriate strategies.
    • Sourcing leads for key company products and services such as petroleum products, gas, equipment, franchise amongst others and ensuring that such leads are converted to sales by the relevant business units.
    • Experiment with new and creative ways of generating leads including networking, attending events, exhibitions, social media engagement, cold calling, personal visits, online ads, print ads, social media ads, billboards amongst others.
    • Qualifying leads, nurturing relationships (both existing and potential clients) and updating sales CRM (customer relationship management) databases to improve prospects of turning leads into business.

    Warehouse and Procurement Manager

    Main Functions

    • The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the warehouse and procurement processes of the company.
    • He shall develop and ensure the existence of approved warehouse operational procedures that address storage requirements, utilization, space management, access control and gate pass process management and shipping methods.
    • He shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations which shall include vendor selection, negotiations, and contract management, coordinating and managing ordering, receipting, assembling, and storing as well as managing store items issuance for internal use and sales to the public as may be approved by management.
    • He, together with his team, plays a critical role in ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
    • He shall maintain a safe and healthy work environment and enforce standards and procedures for efficient warehouse operations.

    Highlights and Objectives

    • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-savings opportunities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
    • Evaluate and recommend process improvements to streamline procurement operations.

    Major Dutie and Responsibilities

    • Take responsibility for overseeing, receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.
    • Develop warehouse operational procedures such as storage requirements, utilization, inventory, gate processes and shipping methods that guarantee the safety and optimal conditions of store items.
    • Supervise daily warehouse activities including quality assurance, space management, productivity, inventory management, inventory shipping, and customer service.
    • Oversee and manage logistics for moving products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and logistics partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
    • Overseeing the purchasing of all approved requisitions for goods and services which the company requires. Identify and profile suppliers, onboard vendors, negotiate terms and agreements with these suppliers and manage contracts with vendors and suppliers.
    • Conduct vendor and suppliers’ performance evaluation periodically, foster positive vendor relationships and resolve issues and disputes that may arise.
    • Evaluates suppliers, select vendors, liaise with legal for contract drafting and ensures compliance with the terms of agreement.
    • Ensure that the company gets the best possible terms and conditions for the purchased goods or services. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable agreements.
    • Ensure that all purchase requisitions for goods and services are executed in a timely manner.
    • Ensure timely purchase of goods and services.
    • Coordinates logistics for movement of purchased items.
