    National Sales Manager - Indoor

    Job Description

    • Lead and develop the Indoor Sales Team with the purpose of influencing KPI Performance positively in order to achieve the business objectives. Develop and implement the Retail Strategy for the company in Nigeria.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Achieve Revenue / Volume and other KPIs for the Indoor Channel
    • Drive and Develop new Exclusive Agents / customers in line with the company strategy.
    • Develop and implement the Retail Strategy for the company in Nigeria
    • Responsible for Sales Capability Development of the Channel Staff and Trade partners including Vendors
    • Responsible for managing and enhancing the corporate reputation of the company via adherence to corporate governance procedure.
    • Build the required discipline within the company's Indoor sales organisation enabling the defined retail sales process and standard to be fully embedded.
    • Organisational setup and development of the sales force within the Retail Channel
    • Conduct regular trade visit to enhance Sales force and, customer coaching and development.
    • Optimization of sales assets
    • Ensure Channel KPIs are achieved.
    • Drive a winning culture; lead coaching and coordinate weekly/ monthly meetings and ensure target understanding & achievement

    Work/Business Contacts and Authority:

    • Customers: Retail shops in Nigeria
    • Represent the company on a day-to-day basis with the customers
    • Meet regularly with Retails Channel Trade Officers to ensure sales and customer service is performed in accordance to the company's policies and plans.
    • Interact frequently with Product and Brand Development, Distribution and Customer Care.
    • Work & business contacts:
    • Various organizations of the company and staff.
    • Relevant local authorities

    Expectations

    • Has Business related Degree from an acknowledged university
    • Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience of which 7 years must be at Managerial level in sales of FMCG with multi-cultural/multinational environment.
    • Outgoing and convincing personality, with a sense of urgency, who can communicate at all levels and persuade key stakeholders in to the right course of action
    • Is driven by his/her desire to perform
    • Has broad experience with a structured approach to customer relationship management and business development
    • Has excellent entrepreneurial and commercial awareness
    • Has financial acumen
    • Possesses a high degree of assertiveness across cultural and educational diversity
    • Good knowledge of the FMCG market.
    • Insight in the Food market and market drivers
    • Negotiation Skills.
    • IT skills (MS office - PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
    • Planning, organising and coordinating skills
    • Result oriented.
