Agronomist at Eight Orbit Urban Farms

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced Agronomist/Farmer at Eight Orbit Urban Farms in Kuje Abuja.
• The Agronomist will be responsible for tasks such as farming diverse vegetables, fruits, and staple foods, soil, plants, and crop science analysis, data collection and analysis, implementing agriculture practices, experience in greenhouse setup, greenhouse and outdoor farming, managing irrigation systems, conducting research on plant nutrition, optimizing crop production, increase annual yields, and supervising farm technicians.

Qualifications

• Atleast two years experience in farm management, indoor and outdoor farming.
• Experience in greenhouse soil, hydroponic and aeroponic farming
• Soil Science and Plant Nutrition expertise
• Agriculture and Irrigation skills
• Experience in conducting research in the field of agronomy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, plants, crop and soil science, or related field
• Knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices
