    Assistant Miller - Tin Can

    PURPOSE

    Assist the Miller to oversee the milling operations on a shift basis to deliver on the required milling KPIs, product quality, and volume output at an optimal cost.

    THE JOB

    • Assist in optimization of the mills to achieve a balance stock distribution, target extraction, and all quality metrics.
    • Check all quality/standard control points to ensure compliance with established standards, reporting unusual noise, leakages and improper machine functions detected.
    • Ensure proper wheat gritting and conditioning for production.
    • Coordinate the production data capturing to engender productivity and data quality.
    • Monitor and ensure free material movement or flow from the raw wheat bins to the mills to sustain continuous production.
    • Coordinate basic autonomous production maintenance to ensure machines efficiency.
    • Assist the millers in supervising factory operatives towards the achievement of unit, functional and organizational objectives.
    • Implement standard operating procedures for all work processes to facilitate efficient and safe work execution.

    THE PERSON MUST

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in operating and maintaining milling machinery.
    • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Knowledgeable in safety protocols, adhering to strict safety standards and regulations in the milling process.

    QUALIFICATION

    • First Degree in Engineering/Diploma in Milling Technology.
    • NABIM Milling Course, African Milling School Course & IGP.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 3 years cognate experience.
