    General Manager

    Responsibilities
    Horse Welfare Management:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for the health and well-being of all horses.
    • Oversee feeding, grooming, exercise, and medical care schedules.
    • Work closely with veterinarians, farriers, and other equine health professionals.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of stables, paddocks, and training facilities.

    Farm Operations:

    • Manage day-to-day operations of the farm, including staff supervision and training.
    • Coordinate with trainers, grooms, and other personnel to ensure smooth operations.
    • Oversee procurement and inventory of feed, equipment, and supplies.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

    Event Management:

    • Plan and coordinate polo matches, training sessions, and other events.
    • Liaise with event organizers, sponsors, and participants to ensure successful events.
    • Oversee logistics, including transport of horses and equipment.

    Financial Management:

    • Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
    • Monitor and report on financial performance.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for revenue generation and cost savings.

    Client and Stakeholder Relations:

    • Build and maintain relationships with clients, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to horse owners and event participants.
    • Represent the farm at industry events and networking opportunities.

    Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement long-term strategies for the growth and improvement of the farm.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
    • Ensure the farm remains competitive and innovative in the equine industry.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Equine Science, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Proven experience in equipment management, preferably within the polo or horse farm industry.
    • Strong knowledge of horse care, training, and welfare practices.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Financial acumen with experience in budget management.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
