    Group Head, Strategic HR Services

    Overview and Objectives

    The holder of this role will aim to achieve the business objectives of stakeholders with regards to the various units that provide strategic shared services to our various clients.
    He/she plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the following business units:

    • Learning and Development
    • Education
    • Recruitment
    • Verification
    • Business Finishing School
    • Business Analyst School    

    He/she will assume a critical leadership role in driving the overall success and growth of the organization. This individual will oversee and be responsible for multiple key areas, including sales, revenue, marketing, innovation, finance, curriculum development, and program development. The objective is to effectively manage these functions to maximize profitability, market presence, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency in a predominantly business to business and also emerging business to consumer environment.

    Areas of concentration

    Sales:

    The Group Head (GH) will develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to drive business growth and increase revenue. This includes identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and expanding the firm's client base. The objective is to achieve sales targets, improve sales processes, and ensure a consistent flow of projects and engagements.

    Revenue:

    In collaboration with the finance team, the Group Head will be responsible for managing and maximizing the firm's revenue streams. This includes developing pricing strategies, evaluating profitability of projects, monitoring billing and collections processes, and implementing measures to improve revenue generation and cash flow.

    Marketing:

    The Group Head will oversee the marketing efforts of the firm to enhance brand visibility, reputation, and market positioning. They will develop and execute marketing strategies, including digital marketing campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and networking events. The objective is to increase the firm's market share, attract new clients, and retain existing clients through effective marketing and communication strategies.

    Innovation:

    The Group Head will foster a culture of innovation within the consulting firm. They will encourage and support the development of new ideas, methodologies, and solutions to meet evolving client needs. The objective is to drive continuous improvement, differentiation, and competitive advantage through innovative approaches and offerings.

    Finance:

    The Group Head will work closely with the finance team to ensure the financial health and stability of the consulting firm. This includes monitoring financial performance, developing budgets, analyzing financial data, and implementing financial controls and processes. The objective is to optimize financial resources, manage costs, and drive profitability.

    Curriculum Development:

    As part of the consulting firm's service offerings, the Group Head will oversee the development and enhancement of curriculum and training programs. They will collaborate with subject matter experts to design and deliver high-quality, relevant, and impactful learning experiences for clients. The objective is to ensure the firm's training programs are aligned with industry trends, client needs, and business objectives.

    Program Development:

    The Group Head will lead the development and management of consulting programs and services offered by the firm. This includes identifying market demand, assessing client requirements, and designing tailored programs to deliver value and achieve desired outcomes. The objective is to continuously improve program offerings, expand service capabilities, and meet client expectations.

    • Turn Around and Total Quality Management
    • Business Development
      • Through market research activities identify demand for TEC products and services in new and existing market research
      • Assist in the development and/or improvement of TEC products and services
    • Assessment of new and existing stakeholders within the market Sales
      • Participate in market development activities including promotion of the company’s products and services to students, business organizations
      • Compile sales figure relating to market volume and share of market
      • Enquiry management-agents, students and potential clients
    • Marketing
      • Develop an appropriate marketing strategy and manage implementation within new and existing regions
      • Promote the company, actions and product by undertaking necessary and appropriate liaison with various external stakeholders and including both government and non-government agencies
      • Control the preparation and release of publicity in accordance with established policies and procedures and maintain good relations with press, radio, television and other media. Provide monthly reports on all aspects of marketing activity including student recruitment targets, promotional activities, expenditure, competitor activity, market trends and issues.
    • Financial
      • Prepare budgets and forecasts associated with TEC product and services.
      • Day to day management of marketing budget for the programme and evaluate the effectiveness of products and strategies
    • General
      • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the units/business
      • Appoint and manage key staff required to fulfill the business objectives.
      • Provide administrative and logistical support when required.
      • Work with TEC Group marketing, printers and others to develop promotional materials.

    Immediate Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop a comprehensive business plan for achieving the set goals and objectives of the here-above
    • Business and market development for the business
    • Management of the day-to-day operations of the business
    • Management and relationship with identified clients
    • Ensure the achievement of agreed revenue, clientele and other targets
    • Ensure judicious utilization of the resources available
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of the programs

    Specific Deliverables and Target (first 3 months)

    • Development of a realistic business plan to drive the various business and initiatives
    • Draft/Agree JD and KPI for GH role
    • Develop a Marketing and Promotional Plans
    • Design acceptable curriculum for the Business, Finishing and Analytic Schools
    • Design a Corporate Governance Structure to govern the affairs of the organization
    • Conduct assessment surveys, implementation & monitoring of projects.
    • Detect issues and investigate ways to resolve them
    • Assess the pros and cons of possible strategies
    • Based on the above make recommendations for improvement and present same to management
    • Implement agreed solutions
    • Branding and Social Media management
