Head of Business Development at Excel and Grace Consulting

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify new sales opportunities and emerging trends within the food production industry.
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in retail, distribution, food service, and other relevant sectors.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts that are favorable to the company.
• Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure progression of leads towards successful customer acquisition.
• Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals (if applicable).
• Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and strategic innovation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
• Develop and maintain a strong brand presence for the company at industry events and trade shows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business development role within the food production industry.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business objectives.
• Excellent understanding of the food production industry, market dynamics, and consumer trends.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with key stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinking, analytical mind, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software is a plus.
