Junior Software Developer (Backend / Machine Learning) at Energy Market and Rates Consultants Limited (EMRC)

The Opportunity: 

• We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a passionate individual with a foundational understanding of backend development, cloud technologies, or machine learning. You will work alongside experienced developers to build and maintain scalable backend systems, deploy cloud-based solutions, and integrate machine learning models into our platforms. 

Your Role: 

• Collaborate with senior developers to build and maintain backend systems using technologies like Python, Node.js, and Java. 
• Assist in the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. 
• Support the development and integration of machine learning models into existing systems. 
• Participate in the design, development, and testing of APIs and microservices. 
• Contribute to the optimization and scalability of our backend systems. 
• Work closely with the front-end development team to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end functionalities. 
• Conduct research on new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve development processes and outcomes. 

Your Profile: 

• Certificate or Higher in Computer Science, or a related field. 
• Basic understanding of backend development technologies like Python, Node.js, or Java. 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. 
• Exposure to machine learning concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn. 
• Understanding of API design, RESTful services, and microservices architecture. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
