    Lead, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Analyst I

    Objectives

    • Monitor processes in laboratory and analyses of crude oil and petroleum products
    • Supervise and participates in the monitoring of the quality of LPG samples in accordance to the specification of the products.
    • Ensure that finished products meet quality standard before release into the market.
    • Oversee and participate in the monitoring of quality of waste water effluents and chemicals/ materials
    • Ensure laboratory equipment availability

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise the activities of QA & QC.
    • Ensure requisition for replacement of obsolete laboratory equipment and repair of faulty ones.
    • Perform the certification of finished products for the market.
    • Determine quality procedures, standards, and specifications
    • Coordinate the periodic maintenance of laboratory equipment
    • Ensure availability of reagents
    • Ensure quality of chemicals/ materials
    • Ensure WWT effluent meet specification before discharge
    • Supervise the Standardization and calibration of equipment

    Educational Qualification

    • First degree in physical science or Engineering
    • Membership of professional bodies e.g. CSN, NIM, NSE, COREN, etc.

    Competence

    • Product blending scheduling skill
    • Plant Operations Troubleshooting skill
    • Knowledge of Production Chemistry Solutions
    • Knowledge of quality control
    • Skilled in analyses and product certification
    • Skilled in calibration of test equipment
    • Skilled in preparation and standardization of reagents

    Experience

    • Minimum of 9 years relevant post qualification experience. Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.

    Age Limit: 37 years
