    Maintenance/Electrical Engineer (Power)

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Perform regular inspections of the SGS facilities, machinery, generators and equipment, to identify and correct any potential hazard or malfunctions.
    • Develop and execute maintenance programs.
    • Coordinate preventative maintenance tasks to ensure that all equipment in the facility is in proper working condition.
    • Coordinate the safe and correct repair of faulty equipment, defined in scope of responsibilities.
    • Conduct Risk Assessments and Root Cause Analyses. Assess and qualify 3rd party maintenance vendors.
    • Oversee maintenance work done by third parties & ensure all company Health & Safety standards implemented before, during and after execution.
    • Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner and comply with legal and electrical regulations. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to other departments within technical remit.
    • Ensure all electrical safety / control of energy / LOTO protocols are being adhered to.
    • Carry out tests and diagnostics to troubleshoot issues.
    • Act as Safety ambassador and carryout broader operational integrity assignment as may be assigned.

    Reporting Line: Health & Safety Manager

    Profile

    • Maintenance or Electrical Engineer with industry certification(s) to demonstrating proficiency / license to work on electrical and power equipment / infrastructure.
    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electrical / Power Equipment Maintenance (especially cabling)
    • Must demonstrate proficiency on putting together and executing Preventive Maintenance programs - show what done in past 5 years.
    • Proficiency in implementing Corrective Maintenance programs and repair projects in (Electrical / HVAC / Mechanical / generators).
    • Awareness of electrical and regulatory requirements to execute Electrical & Mechanical jobs.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

    • Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to share simple and clear information no matter how complex the topic may be.
    • Display broad mindedness and readiness / ability to take instructions.
    • Teamwork & Interpersonal soft skills to relate with others comfortably.
    • Problem solving mindset.
