    Marketing / Sales Engineer

    Job Responsibilities

    • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry/market trends, competitors and potential business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with the departmental SMEs, OEM representatives/contacts to develop effective marketing strategies and campaigns targeting potential customers in the public and private sectors.
    • Provide technical products knowledge to prospects and customers, assisting them in understanding the features, benefits, and applications of the engineering technologies and products.
    • Generate leads and actively pursue sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
    • Prepare detailed product information documents and marketing materials, including brochures, datasheets, technical specifications, and case studies.
    • Conduct instructional demonstrations of the engineering technologies and products at trade shows, customer meetings, and other marketing events.
    • Simplify complex technical jargon into language that potential customers can easily understand, ensuring effective communication and comprehension.
    • Address technical questions or concerns raised by customers or potential customers, providing timely and accurate responses.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and strategies.
    • Conduct client presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the companies’ technologies, products, services and highlight their value proposition.
    • Participate in the development and analysis of product development plans, collaborating with the engineering department to ensure the products meet the needs and preferences of the market.
    • Monitor product performance, gather customer feedback, and provide insights to the product development team to improve existing products and develop new ones that align with market requirements.

    Job Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum 4 years in marketing/sales with a proven track record of successful technical sales experience, preferably in the engineering or technical services industry.
    • Must be equipped with industry technical knowledge and selling techniques to effectively market and sell engineering technologies and products.
    • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering services.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
    • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
