    Nursery School Teacher

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within theclass; establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and communicate those objectives to pupils; mark and grade class work and homework appropriately.
    • Teach all areas of the curriculum. Use a variety of instructional strategies, such as inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, demonstration etc.
    • Observe and evaluate pupils' performance, behaviour, social development, and physical health.
    • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation; read books to entire class or small groups.
    • Maintaining discipline: Establish and enforce rules for behaviour and procedures for maintaining order among the pupils for whom they are responsible.
    • Prepare, administer and mark work to facilitate positive pupil development and evaluate pupils’ progress.
    • Provide feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' meetings and other meetings.
    • Keep up with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum and maintain accurate and complete statutory records as required by administrative regulations.
    • Record keeping: maintain up to date record of pupils' progress, attendance records and other statutory records for easy retrieval
    • Organise and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games/sports, excursions, role play, music, and storytelling. Coordinate extracurricular activities such as clubs, pupil organisations and competitions.
    • Supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments for Assistant Teachers.
    • Take responsibility for the progress of the pupils in the class. Involve parent in children's activities through effective communication and feedbacks using communication book
    • Supervise pupils' home time to forestall mix up of items
    • Treat all information relating to a pupil as strictly confidential, and be aware of and comply with school policy and practice, receiving training where necessary from the school

    Requirements

    • Minimum of First Degree in Education
    • TRCN Certification
    • At least four years teaching experience in EYFS
    • Candidates should be able to communicate fluently in English Language (Oral and written)
    • Good use of initiative and problem-solving attitude
