    Risk and Compliance Lead

    Job Description

    • Design proactive strategic risk initiatives by creating risk frameworks that provide recommendations on the strategies to use in complex and unusual situations
    • Promote integration and standardization of risk management processes across the organization
    • Align delivery of risk services to proactively integrate with organizational initiatives
    • Support the Legalteamon embedding a risk aware culture
    • Develop innovative practices in financial risk management and encourages others to incorporate them into their daily work to meet current and future business needs.
    • Promote standardization and continuity of reporting modernization by examining and leveraging the processes of other organizations to improve the company’s performance while minimizing risk.
    • Create solutions by leveraging reports to solve complex and high-value decisions.
    • Develop detailed operational plans and procedures for compliance programmes
    • Oversee the development of compliance controls to mitigate compliance risk exposure of organization
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations whilst taking a commercial and practical approach to risk-based challenges and offer appropriate solutions
    • Develop actionable roadmap based on leading practice risk frameworks to assess exposures, and provide tailored risk management solutions in complex and unusual situations
    • Ensure that risk identification and assessment activities carried out across the company is reviewed and challenged where necessary, and that appropriate escalation procedures are in place at the highest level.

    Requirements / Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related discipline.
    • Relevant professional qualifications such as FRM, PMI-RMP, IRM, CIP will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of twelve (12) years relevant experience, with at least three (3) years in a senior managerial capacity.
