    Structural Engineer

    Job Summary

    • As our Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and analyzing structural components of buildings and other structures.
    • This involves ensuring that the structures are safe, stable, and comply with all relevant building codes and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct structural analyses to determine the loads and stresses that a structure will experience.
    • Design structural elements, such as foundations, beams, columns, and slabs, to ensure they can withstand the anticipated loads.
    • Evaluate the structural integrity of existing structures and recommend necessary repairs or modifications.
    • Select appropriate materials for structural components based on factors such as strength, durability, cost, and environmental impact.
    • Ensure that materials meet the required specifications and standards.
    • Perform detailed structural calculations to determine the size, shape, and reinforcement requirements for structural elements.
    • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and structural analysis tools to assist in calculations.
    • Ensure that all structural designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
    • Stay updated on changes to building codes and regulations.
    • Collaborate with architects and contractors to develop structural designs that meet the overall project requirements.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team during the construction phase.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license or the equivalent certification.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
    • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and design methods.
    • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Experience with seismic design or wind load analysis.
    • Knowledge of green building design principles.
    • Experience with structural health monitoring or forensic engineering.
