    Business Reporter

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a Business Reporter who understands the Nigerian economy, capital markets and the maritime sector.
    • You will play a crucial role in delivering accurate, insightful, and timely news related to the financial world, markets, corporations, and economic trends.

    Responsibilities

    • Your responsibilities will involve researching, investigating, and reporting on various aspects of business and finance for a diverse audience, ranging from industry professionals to the general public
    • You will be responsible for gathering and verifying factual information regarding news stories through conducting interviews and observations on news events promptly and accurately
    • Build and maintain relationships with key sources such as public officials, administrators, researchers, organizers, public information officers, and other newsmakers.

    Investigative Journalist

    Job Description:

    • As an Investigative Journalist, you will undertake in-depth research and reporting to uncover and expose issues of public interest.
    • You will be responsible for uncovering hidden truths, holding individuals and institutions accountable, and driving societal change through compelling storytelling and rigorous investigation.

    Responsibilities

    • Reporting and writing original and consequential investigative stories that live up to ICIR’s standards for accuracy, fairness and newsworthiness
    • Work with the fact check team to produce daily debunks of fake news and misinformation
    • Contribute to the success of the team’s investigative projects on editorial platforms, including digital and visual media, social networks and various audio platforms with the goal of reaching the largest audiences with the biggest impact.

    Requirements

    Programme Officer

    Job Description:

    • Implement assigned projects and programs efficiently during specific grant periods
    • Attend Programs Department meetings
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date program records and data.
    • Initiate new fund seeking initiatives, including writing funding proposals to donors
    • Write and submit reports for assigned projects and programs within donor specified deadlines

    • Strong customer services and interpersonal skills in order to maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers including our partners.
    • Desirably a good editorial judgement related to the collection and analysis of intelligence information

    • Strong organizational skills creative thinker with an ability to analyze a wide array of data
    • Has a keen eye for detail and applies “gut checks” to supplement fact-checking
